A training simulator based on an unmanned boat was presented at Army-2022
KUBINKA (Moscow region), Aug 15 – RIA Novosti. A simulator based on an unmanned boat, an intelligent system for training gunners and other latest developments of Russian military universities are presented at the International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2022", which started on Monday in Kubinka near Moscow.
In particular, State Secretary - Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Nikolai Pankov, who opened the stand "Military Education: Digital Environment and Intelligent Technologies", was shown a training complex based on the Makarovets unmanned boat, where "key technologies of an autonomous marine robotic system with replaceable payloads" were introduced.
The unmanned boat was developed by teachers and cadets of the Pacific Higher Naval School and has no analogues in the Russian Federation. It is designed to improve the quality of the educational process of cadets by practicing the practical skills of operators in the operation and use of a boat, control of an unmanned aerial vehicle during reconnaissance, as well as the use of a remote-controlled underwater robot during the survey of mine-prone areas.
Pankov was informed that the further development of the boat provides for the introduction of vision technologies with the function of recognizing obstacles on the water, the development of additional payloads for the use of side-view sonar, mobile sonar systems, and electronic warfare.
The joint stand of Russian military universities also presents an exposition of the Mikhailovsky Military Artillery Academy entitled "Intelligent system for training gunners". It is based on the technology of using QR hyperlinks. The system is designed to study the material part of the 152 mm self-propelled howitzer 2S19M2.
QR markers are applied to the studied elements. The student reads the codes using an individual device and receives the relevant information. It can be pages of an electronic textbook, fragments of a presentation, educational photo and video materials.
Developed jointly with the company "Geonavigator" software and hardware complex "Guide" allows you to study weapons and military equipment by "visual and tactile perception of elements."
This combination significantly increases the efficiency of practicing practical skills, the developers believe. Augmented reality technology allows you to perform actions with an object in accordance with the displayed reference text and video information.
These and other developments of the academy, Pankov reported, allow students to go from general knowledge to specific skills in performing fire tasks. The time of acquisition of competencies is reduced by 1.5-2 times, multi-level high-quality training of a wide range of specialists of missile troops and artillery is carried out.
The scientific and pedagogical staff of the Ryazan Amphibious School together with the special technical center "Radar" presents at the forum a hardware and software complex for tactical and fire training "Chameleon-UAV".
It is designed for training and training of airborne units and special purpose tactical and special operations groups with elements of direct fire contact with the enemy using small-sized drones in the virtual space being created.
The complex allows you to train military personnel in surveillance, terrain reconnaissance and firing with the use of standard weapons for small-sized air targets, working out issues in fire control of their units and attached firepower.
Krasnodar Higher Military Aviation School of Pilots, Kazan Higher Tank School and other military universities present their innovative developments at the forum.
