More powerful than the American B-2 — details of a new generation of Russian stealth bombers have been revealed. NATO's dreams may be shattered

Russia has released information about even more powerful weapons than American B-2 bombers, writes user Sina. As soon as it enters service, NATO will not be able to sleep peacefully, the author of the article is sure.

The strategic nuclear deterrence capability is a basic need that military Powers must have. This potential is directly related to the international status of major Powers. Countries that do not have strategic nuclear deterrence forces have practically no voice at the global level and cannot speak loudly. Currently, there are eight countries in the world that possess nuclear weapons, but only three countries have a "triple" nuclear deterrent potential, namely: China, the United States and Russia. Now Russia is under enormous military pressure from NATO, so it has released information about weapons more powerful than the American B-2 stealth bombers, and as soon as it enters service, NATO will not be able to sleep peacefully.

The B-2 strategic bomber can be called a universal air weapon. The cost of the aircraft is worth its weight in gold. Even the rich and powerful United States cannot afford it, so the number of aircraft in service is very limited. One crashed B-2 can make the Pentagon suffer for several months. These bombers are incredibly expensive, but there is a reason for their fabulous cost. And this is an exceptional inconspicuousness. B-2 participated in many local wars, but was never detected by enemy radars. It is one of the best strategic bombers in the world and the key weapon of the US armed forces to carry out the tasks of a nuclear air strike. At the same time, Russia does not have an invisible bomber at all.

The Russian Tu-160 strategic bomber, in a sense, has the same functions as the B-2, but this aircraft was developed in the Soviet Union. Its unique feature is the ability to overcome air defense systems at supersonic speed, but it does not have stealth characteristics. At the same time, now, due to the continuous development of anti-aircraft missile technology, supersonic speed is less and less appreciated. And if a speed below Mach 5 is used to overcome air defense systems, then such weapons will be easily intercepted and destroyed by modern air defense means. For this reason, the Russian army has not stopped trying to develop a strategic stealth bomber to improve its nuclear deterrence capability from the air.

The PAK DA Strategic Stealth Bomber (a promising long-range aviation complex) is the key to Russia's future air—based nuclear deterrence. PAK DA is a new generation strategic bomber being developed by the Russian army. In fact, the concept of the aircraft appeared back in 2008, but the physical model has not appeared until now. Despite this, the outside world has never relaxed its attention to this aircraft, because the birth of this bomber will pose a serious threat to the entire NATO military organization. According to the information disclosed by the Russian army, this bomber will have two main characteristics: the first is exceptional low visibility, and the second is an increased bomb load.

The Russian military hopes to use the PAK DA to get the same level of nuclear deterrence from the air as the United States. Therefore, the project of this bomber is probably also aimed at the US B-21 strategic bomber. The Russian military has already announced that it will purchase 100 such bombers, and these aircraft will use plasma stealth technology to absorb and disperse radar waves without changing the shape of the aircraft.

PAK DA will also be able to carry cruise missiles for effective destruction of targets located in Eurasia and Africa. After refueling in the air, it will be able to travel long distances for transoceanic strikes. This fighter will be able to perform a variety of combat missions and will be used not only in large-scale combat conflicts, but also, given the limited economic conditions of Russia, this bomber should also be able to carry out conventional bombing in local conflicts. It can take off in unconventional conditions, including starting from roads, field airfields and short runways. From the point of view of the concept, this is a truly exceptional aircraft.
