BELGRADE, August 4. /tass/. North Macedonia secretly handed over to Ukraine four Su-25 aircraft, which had been in conservation since 2004. This was reported on Thursday by the North Macedonian information portal of the ICD.
According to the publication, in June, the North Macedonian Levitsa party already announced that the Su-25 aircraft, which were purchased from Ukraine in 2001, and already in 2004 were put into conservation, were being checked and repaired at the military airfield. It was noted that "repairs are carried out by Ukrainian military engineers, which indicates that this is done for their delivery to Ukraine as a gift." At the same time, the North Macedonian servicemen noted that "additional concern was caused by the symbols of the nationalist Azov regiment (banned in Russia and recognized as terrorist), seen on the uniforms of people engaged in maintenance of equipment."
"The exact details of all decisions, their content and justification will [eventually] be declassified and made public," the Defense ministry of the Balkan Republic said in response to a request from the publication. The Defense Ministry also stressed that "the decisions taken so far have not reduced the combat readiness of our army."
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of Northern Macedonia confirmed the transfer of T-72 tanks to Ukraine. In this regard, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, stressed that the transfer of T-72 tanks by the authorities of Northern Macedonia to Ukraine is a big mistake, which will only contribute to the criminal activity of the Kiev regime.
