The headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet was attacked by an APU drone, five people were injured, said the governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev. A Ukrainian drone struck the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet, five people received shrapnel wounds, the governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev said in his Telegram channel. The events scheduled for the Navy Day on July 31 have been postponed for security reasons.
"Early this morning, the Ukronazis decided to spoil our Navy Day. An unidentified object flew into the yard of the Fleet Headquarters, according to preliminary data, it is a drone. Five people were injured, these are employees of the fleet headquarters, there were no fatalities. Help has been provided to everyone. The FSB is working, the circumstances are being clarified," Razvozhaev wrote.
Two victims of the explosion are in a state of moderate severity, three with minor injuries, the governor added. The FSB is working at the scene of the incident.
He also urged residents to remain calm and stay at home.
The press service of the Black Sea Fleet reported that a low-power explosive device mounted on a homemade drone went off on the territory of the headquarters. The victims of the broken glass fragments have already been helped, the headquarters noted.
There will be no holiday
The Day of the Navy in Sevastopol was planned to be held on July 31 in an abbreviated format - without the ceremonial construction of ships and the traditional theatrical performance, the city authorities reported.
"Most of the events this year take place at the Grafskaya Pier. This is a solemn meeting of the commander, who will take part in the circumambulation of the ships, and the assignment of the name of Andrei Paliy to the boat. At the same time, there will be no ceremonial construction of ships, all events on Grafskaya will be of a protocol nature."

It was also planned that the solemn events would begin with a prayer service in the Vladimir Cathedral - the tomb of the admirals, and laying flowers at the Memorial Wall in honor of the defense of Sevastopol 1941-1942. A solemn meeting of the commander of the Black Sea Fleet Andrei Osipov and the laying of wreaths on the water was to take place at the Grafskaya Pier.
The events were planned to end with a concert and fireworks.
Navy Day in other cities
At another base of the Black Sea Fleet - in Novorossiysk - the decision to cancel or postpone the parade has not yet been made.
A solemn parade of ships in honor of the Navy Day has already taken place in Vladivostok, in the Golden Horn Bay. Admiral Sergey Avakyants, Commander of the Pacific Fleet, took part in the events.
The parade ended with a series of artillery volleys from the frigate Admiral Shaposhnikov.
Changes in the program of events of the Northern Fleet were not reported.
The main parade
The main naval parade will take place in St. Petersburg and Kronstadt, it will be hosted by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, Russian President Vladimir Putin.
It is expected that the head of state will bypass the parade lines of warships in the waters of the Gulf of Finland and the Neva River and on the Kronstadt roadstead by boat.
More than 40 ships, boats and submarines will take part in the parade, as well as 42 aircraft and more than 3.5 thousand military personnel. The events will begin at 11:00.
It was also reported that the Commander-in-chief will sign decrees approving the Naval Doctrine of the FR and the Ship Charter of the Russian Navy.
On May 20, 2022, Yuri Borisov, being the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation for the military-industrial complex, said that they decided to adjust the Naval Doctrine taking into account "changes in the geopolitical and military-strategic situation in the world."
According to him, the new provisions of the doctrine "will ensure the introduction of civilian vessels and crews into the Navy," as well as "the functioning of marine infrastructure facilities in wartime." He claimed that the innovations are aimed "not at confrontation, but at improving national security."
