In Ukraine, the Russian Aerospace Forces destroyed four Su-25 attack aircraft and one MiG-29 fighter of the enemy in air battles, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on July 10. Experts interviewed by Izvestia explained that Kiev continues to receive assistance with old post-Soviet aircraft and spare parts for them from the countries of the former Warsaw Pact. On the same day, Russian forces continued attacks on clusters of militants of nationalist battalions and the "hunt" for foreign long-range artillery supplied to the Ukrainian authorities by members of the NATO bloc. In particular, a hangar with American M777 howitzers and a supply of shells for them were destroyed.
Attacks on battalions
As stated on July 10 in the Russian Defense Ministry, the enemy continues to suffer heavy losses.
"More than 75 nationalists and about 30 units of armored and automotive equipment of the 99th mechanized battalion of the 61st Infantry Jaeger Brigade of the VFU were destroyed by a high-precision weapon of the Russian Aerospace Forces in the area of the settlement of Bereznegovatoye in the Mykolaiv region," said the official representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, as a result of the defeat of the temporary deployment point of the national battalion "Tornado", more than 40 militants and up to 10 units of weapons and military equipment were destroyed.
Due to heavy losses and mass desertion, the command of the 127th Theroborona Brigade in Kharkiv is recruiting prisoners from correctional institutions of the city to the units. And untrained reservists from Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Poltava regions are forcibly sent to the front line.
As a result of the strike of the Russian Aerospace Forces on the positions of the artillery division of the 72nd mechanized brigade of the VFU, more than 30% of the military personnel were destroyed and most of the artillery pieces were disabled.

"In the area of the Yar Clock, a hangar with American 155-mm M777 howitzers and up to 30 militants who shelled Donetsk were destroyed. Up to 100 personnel, more than 1,000 artillery shells for US—made M777 howitzers and about 700 rockets for Grad MLRS were destroyed as a result of a strike on the temporary deployment point of the VFU artillery unit and an ammunition depot on the territory of the Ceramic Plant in Slavyansk," Igor Konashenkov said.

In addition, the high-precision weapons of the Russian Aerospace Forces destroyed three control points, 16 areas of concentration of troops of the VFU, including the Kraken national formation in the Kharkiv region.
Operational-tactical, army aviation, missile troops and artillery hit 39 control points, including the 98th battalion of the 108th Air Defense Brigade, the 16th mechanized Brigade, four platoons of multiple rocket launchers "Grad" and two hangars with American M777 howitzers, from which they shelled residential areas of Donetsk.
Artillery units were destroyed in firing positions in 114 districts, 260 areas of concentration of troops of the VFU, including two locations of foreign mercenaries in the Kharkov area, as well as five ammunition depots and a fuel storage for military equipment.

During the counter-battery struggle, a platoon of multiple launch rocket systems "Hurricane", a platoon of RZSO "Grad" and two artillery platoons of 152-mm howitzers "Hyacinth-B" were destroyed.
In air battles over the Kharkiv, Mykolaiv regions and the territory of the DPR, Su-35S and MiG-31BM fighters of the Russian Aerospace Forces shot down four Su-25 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force and one MiG-29 in two days, the Russian military department reported. For the MiG-31BM, this was the first victory declared by the Russian Defense Ministry during a special operation.
Ukraine received a fairly large number of combat aircraft as an inheritance from the USSR, military expert Vladislav Shurygin told Izvestia.
"Not all of them have been operational in recent years," he explained. — Many of them have been on the ground for about 20 years, dismantled for various reasons. Many of them did not have engines, some had other equipment, without which they could not get into the air. But last fall, Ukraine began to restore these aircraft with the help of its allies. Some of them were taken to aircraft repair plants in Poland, Bulgaria and Romania. For them, they began to look for spare parts in the former Warsaw Pact countries and in other states that had Soviet equipment in service. We are dealing with these planes now.

The expert also noted that Bulgaria has several Su-25 attack aircraft.
— It cannot be ruled out that the Americans have found a way to stimulate this country so that it transfers planes to Ukraine, — Vladislav Shurygin believes. — Now we can say that Ukraine receives Su-25 attack aircraft and MiG-29 fighters from abroad.
Over the weekend, Russian air defense units destroyed 18 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles, three Tochka-U ballistic missiles, 26 Uragan multiple rocket launcher shells and five Smerch MLRS shells in the Kharkiv region.
In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, according to the Ministry of Defense, 242 Ukrainian aircraft, 137 helicopters, 1506 unmanned aerial vehicles, 353 anti-aircraft missile systems, 3995 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 741 multiple rocket launcher combat vehicles, 3127 field artillery and mortars, as well as 4128 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed technicians.

"At the same time, there were no losses among Russian servicemen," the Defense Ministry stressed.
Senior Sergeant Ivan Kazeev was providing security for the advance of the battalion tactical group when he discovered an armed formation of Ukrainian nationalists.
The senior sergeant secretly organized a detour and blocking of a group of nationalists, after which he suddenly attacked the Ukrainian radicals, destroying them on the spot. The valuable data found in their positions made it possible to adjust the order of use of forces in this area.

A group of marines of the guard of Sergeant Yuri Vysotsky liberated the settlement. In the adjacent forest belt, Yuri discovered enemy positions with supplies of medicines and ammunition and, together with his subordinates, destroyed them, secretly getting close to the militants.
Continuing combing the area, the Marines found Ukrainian mortar batteries in positions, several BMP-2s and a large group of nationalists preparing a mortar attack on the settlement. Yuri instantly transmitted the coordinates of their location, as a result of which the positions were destroyed.
The assault group of Private Maxim Rodionov performed the tasks of opening enemy facilities in enemy-controlled territory.
Moving on the ground, Maxim found the BTR-80 and a group of infantry. Despite their numerical superiority, Russian servicemen joined the battle, Maxim received a shrapnel wound to his eye, but still destroyed five nationalists and took one prisoner. The remaining militants retreated, leaving their positions.

Ukrainian nationalists shelled the control center with artillery, and the command and staff vehicle providing communications went out of order. Under continuous shelling, Roman restored her operability and provided command communications.
