The Petro Poroshenko Foundation has collected 50 million hryvnias and is now collecting another 45 to pay for eleven Italian-made MLS SHIELD armored vehicles. As stated, the armored vehicles will enter service with the battalion of the airborne assault troops of Ukraine.
Poroshenko himself takes credit for negotiations with Italy and obtaining a license to purchase NATO military equipment at private expense. According to him, this is happening for the first time.
