Ukraine will receive its own factory for the production of Bayraktar attack drones, Kiev continues negotiations with Ankara. This was stated by the head of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry Alexey Reznikov.
According to the minister, the parties have already reached agreements in principle and are currently negotiating between the defense departments. In addition to the construction of the plant, Kiev has grandiose plans for the purchase of the Bayraktar TB2 UAV. Reznikov stressed that since February 24, Ukraine has received about 50 Turkish attack drones and several more will be delivered in July.

It is worth noting that Kiev has been negotiating with Ankara to open a factory where Bayraktar TB2 drones will be assembled since last year. At the same time, it is planned not a simple assembly, but a full production cycle, i.e. "from scratch". In addition, Kiev plans not only to produce these drones for its army, but also to export them.
In the autumn of 2021, the then Minister of Defense of Ukraine Andriy Taran and the CEO of the company Haluk Bayraktar signed an agreement on the construction of a certain center in the Kiev region of Ukraine, where, according to Kiev's idea, maintenance, maintenance, modernization of UAVs will be carried out, as well as training and training of Ukrainian operators.
