The Russian Defense Ministry told about mass drunkenness and drug use in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
On June 26, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu inspected a Russian group of troops involved in a special military operation in Ukraine. He listened to the reports of the commanders on the current situation and presented state awards. On the same day, Russian troops launched massive missile strikes on the VFU training centers and military infrastructure facilities. According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the moral and psychological state of the VFU is falling - cases of abandonment of positions have been noticed. Experts note that the resistance of the VFU is now provided by the core of the cadre army, but it quickly melts in battles.
"Take care of yourself!"
Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu inspected the Russian group of troops involved in a special military operation in Ukraine. At the command posts, the head of the department heard reports on the situation and actions of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the main operational areas.
The Minister paid special attention to the organization of comprehensive support for combat operations, as well as the creation of all necessary living conditions for military personnel in temporary deployment points.

He also presented those who showed heroism and selflessness during combat missions with state awards — the Gold Star medals of the Hero of Russia and the Order of Courage, the Ministry of Defense reported.
At the presentation of awards, Sergei Shoigu made a short speech to the servicemen.
— You have many glorious deeds ahead of you for the good of our fatherland. Congratulations! Take care of yourself! — said the minister.
Leave positions
On June 25, the cities of Severodonetsk and Borovskoye, the settlements of Voronovo and Sirotino came under the control of the LPR, the Russian military department said. About 108 thousand people live in cities liberated from the Kiev regime. The total area of the liberated territory is about 145 sq. km.
— The successes of the Russian army, the people's militia of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics significantly reduce the moral and psychological state of the personnel of the Ukrainian army. So, in the 30th mechanized brigade deployed near Artemovsk, there are mass cases of drunkenness, drug use and unauthorized abandonment of combat positions," said the official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov.
The morale of Ukrainian formations is declining in all respects, and this is obvious, military expert Vladislav Shurygin believes.

— It is impossible to say that the Ukrainian troops are broken or are fleeing, — he told Izvestia. — But, firstly, the units are moving away from each other a lot, cohesion as a whole is falling. Secondly, the cadre army, heavily diluted with defense and fresh recruits caught in the cities, loses the ability, and everyone sees and understands this. But so far, the decline in the moral and psychological state is not so critical as to affect the course of the special operation as a whole.
The expert noted that during attacking actions, the VFU cannot show anything, but they fight quite stoutly in defense.
— This largely provides a core of 15-20% of professional military personnel, — he believes. — Due to them, the Ukrainian formations are still holding out, if there is artillery support and the defense as a whole is organized. However, now we see how the core of cadres is knocked out in battles.
Aerial battles
On June 26, the Russian armed Forces continued to strike at the objects of the military infrastructure of Ukraine.
— High-precision weapons of the Russian Aerospace Forces and Kalibr missiles delivered a massive blow to the territory of the 169th training center of the ground forces in the area of the settlement of Desna, Chernihiv region, the 199th training center of airborne assault troops in the area of Teterevka, Zhytomyr region, as well as the 184th training center of the Armed forces of Ukraine in the area of Starichi, Lviv region- said the official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov.
As a result of the strike, the 65th, 66th motorized Infantry brigades and the 46th Airmobile Brigade from the strategic reserves of the VFU completely lost their combat capability. Thus, the planned transfer of these formations to the combat zone was disrupted.
Operational-tactical, army aviation, rocket troops and artillery hit 268 areas of concentration of troops of the VFU, two control points, four ammunition depots and artillery and mortar units in 62 areas.

As part of the counter-battery struggle in the Donetsk direction, ten platoons of multiple rocket launchers were destroyed by high-precision weapons of the Russian Aerospace Forces.
As a result of air strikes, missile troops and artillery destroyed more than 720 nationalists, 12 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 16 special vehicles, the military department said.
The enemy again tried to strike at Snake Island. As a result, the Pantsir-S anti-aircraft complex shot down a Su-25 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force and 12 rockets. There are no casualties among the garrison personnel and no destruction, the general stressed.
Russian air defense units destroyed eight unmanned aerial vehicles and 19 multiple rocket launchers.
— A MiG-29 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force was shot down in an air battle near the village of Zelenodolsk, Dnipropetrovsk region, — Igor Konashenkov said.
In total, according to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the special military operation, 215 aircraft, 132 helicopters, 1,363 unmanned aerial vehicles, 350 anti-aircraft missile systems, 3,809 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 682 BM MLRS, 3012 field artillery and mortars, as well as 3,864 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.

The Ministry of Defense on Sunday told about the servicemen who showed courage and dedication in the battles.
The compound of Colonel Alexander Lozhevich liberated the settlement from Ukrainian radicals. During the offensive, the assault groups under his leadership stopped all enemy attempts to suppress the firing points of the Russian troops.
"Thanks to the courage, bravery, commanding skills and skilful leadership of Colonel Alexander Lozhevich, the Ukrainian radicals suffered significant losses and were forced to leave the fortified area they occupied," the military department said.
Since the beginning of the special military operation, Corporal Yevgeny Pakhomkin conducted aerial reconnaissance as part of the calculation of unmanned aerial vehicles.
During the offensive on a well-fortified area of the Ukrainian nationalists, Yevgeny transmitted to the command information about the enemy's firing points and positions found, as well as competently and accurately corrected artillery fire, recorded the defeat of armored vehicles and manpower of the Ukrainian nationalists.

Pakhomkin's drone also found the enemy's command post, which was subsequently destroyed.
— Thanks to the intelligence data obtained by Yevgeny Pakhomkin, a column of Russian armored vehicles was able to freely overcome the settlement held by Ukrainian militants, avoiding losses of personnel, preserving weapons and equipment, — the Defense Ministry noted.
From the first days of the SVO, Junior Sergeant Alexander Valeev provides cover for important objects from air strikes. During the relocation of the command post, the Russian column came under a massive attack by the Grad MLRS.
The junior sergeant did not lose his head, brought his combat vehicle out from under fire, retained control of the squad and did not weaken the observation of the air situation. After leaving the firing zone, Valeev's self-propelled anti-aircraft missile system Strela - 10 detected the target. The corrective fire of the enemy UAV hovered over the battlefield.
With a well-aimed shot, the enemy's unmanned aerial vehicle was destroyed, and the artillery shelling was stopped. Thanks to Valeev's professionalism, it was possible to avoid losses among personnel, weapons and military equipment, the military department noted.
