TSAMTO, June 24. On June 23, at the base of the Caspian Flotilla, a ceremony was held for the solemn raising of the St. Andrew's flag on a new vessel – a dredging non-self-propelled dredger of the RDB 66.42M project.
The vessel officially joined the flotilla. Earlier, it successfully passed a full range of factory, sea trials and state tests in the Caspian Sea.
The ritual of raising the naval flag took place at the berth of the connection of surface ships of the Caspian Flotilla. The solemn event was attended by the head of the Naval Shipbuilding Department, Rear Admiral Ilyas Shigapov, as well as representatives of the command of the Caspian Flotilla, public and religious organizations.
Currently, the ship's crew is completing planned activities for its entry into the permanent readiness forces of the flotilla, after which it will be involved in performing tasks for its intended purpose.

The new vessel of the RDB 66.42M project is intended for deepening fairways, channels, raids and other areas of the sea, developing and transporting soils from the bottom of reservoirs via a floating pulp pipeline, as well as for alluvial dams. The vessel is equipped with a ground pump, diesel generators and other devices. The length of the vessel is 65 m, width – 12 m, height – 3.4 m, displacement – about 900 tons, according to the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
