The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and the People's Militia of the Luhansk People's Republic (LNR) are successfully developing an offensive in the Severodonetsk direction, the Defense Ministry said on June 19. The Allied forces liberated the village of Metelkino in the suburbs of Severodonetsk. Some parts of the armed formations of Ukraine in the area of Lysychansk have already begun to abandon their positions without permission. Also, high-precision missiles destroyed echelons with equipment and the headquarters of the VFU. During the strike on the command post, over 50 generals and officers of the General Staff and commanders of the VFU units operating in the Zaporozhye and Mykolaiv directions were killed. Experts note that the strike was provided by competent actions of Russian intelligence.
In one blow
On June 19, the Russian Defense Ministry announced the successful development of the offensive in the Severodonetsk direction. Over the past day, the forces of the LPR and the Armed Forces of Russia liberated the village of Metelkino. Some units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, due to their low moral and psychological state, lack of ammunition and lack of support, are leaving the combat area, the military department said.
— So, the platoon of the 1st company of the 1st battalion of the 57th Motorized Infantry Brigade, defending in the area of Lisichansk, abandoned heavy weapons and abandoned their positions, — said the official representative of the Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov.
High-precision long-range sea-based Kalibr missiles struck the control point of the Ukrainian troops near the village of Shirokaya Dacha, Dnipropetrovsk region. They hit the command post when a working meeting of the command staff of the operational-strategic grouping of troops "Alexandria" was held there.
— As a result of the strike, more than 50 generals and officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were destroyed, including the General Staff, the command of the Kakhovka group of troops, amphibious assault troops and formations operating in the Mykolaiv and Zaporozhye directions, - Igor Konashenkov said.
The destruction of the headquarters is a blow to the decision—making center, which has been talked about a lot lately, military expert Dmitry Boltenkov noted in an interview with Izvestia.

— For any army, the loss of so many generals and officers will be painful, — he believes. — Any senior commander, for example, a brigade commander, has been trained for years. His training is expensive, and it takes years. A competent general and officer can influence a lot. During the fighting, the price of a competent military commander is measured, among other things, in human lives.
So many officers and generals could gather in one place to develop plans for conducting a serious operation, he noted.
— The place of such an important meeting was calculated by our intelligence, and this is certainly a success, — says the expert. — The information could have come from both intelligence and radio intelligence. It cannot be ruled out that our cyber units worked well — Ukrainian commanders could well have discussed the beginning and details of the meeting in messengers.
Also on June 19, the Ministry of Defense reported that Ukrainians were suffering heavy losses from counter-battery fighting, including in the Kharkiv direction. A captured serviceman of the 22nd Motorized Infantry Brigade said that over the past 10 days, losses in artillery units amounted to 380 people, including 90 irretrievable.
According to Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov, the Ukrainian command sends inexperienced soldiers into battle due to heavy losses.
In addition, cases of so-called "friendly fire" have become more frequent.

The armed forces of the Russian Federation continue to strike military targets in other regions of Ukraine.
High-precision long-range sea-based Kalibr missiles destroyed 10 155-mm M777 howitzers and up to 20 armored combat vehicles located on the territory of the transformer plant in the city of Nikolaev.
Precision-guided air-launched missiles defeated an echelon with personnel, weapons and military equipment of the 1st battalion of the 14th separate mechanized Brigade, which arrived from Vladimir-Volynsky in the combat zone in the Donbass.
In addition, a rocket attack was carried out on an echelon near the Gubinikha railway station in the Dnipropetrovsk region. As a result, more than 100 VFU servicemen, 30 tanks and armored fighting vehicles were destroyed.
— In the area of the Selidovo settlement of the Donetsk People's Republic, manpower and military equipment of the 56th Motorized Infantry Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were defeated, - said Igor Konashenkov. — Up to 200 militants were destroyed, including foreign mercenaries who were part of this brigade, as well as two MLRS Grad combat vehicles, 10 infantry fighting vehicles and armored personnel carriers.
As part of the counter-battery struggle in the Donetsk direction, seven platoons of the Grad MLRS and an artillery platoon in firing positions were defeated.
Planes and helicopters of the Russian Aerospace Forces hit four warehouses with rocket and artillery weapons and ammunition, as well as the launcher of the Buk-M1 anti-aircraft complex.

Rocket troops and artillery hit 22 control points, 48 artillery units in firing positions and 123 areas of concentration of troops of the VFU.
The strike of the Iskander operational-tactical missile system on the territory of the Kharkiv Armored Repair Plant destroyed two launchers of the Hurricane multiple launch rocket system.
Over 400 nationalists, 10 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 11 field artillery guns, 11 MLRS launchers and 28 special vehicles were destroyed during the day by air strikes, missile troops and artillery, the Defense Ministry reported.
Russian air defense systems shot down a Su-25 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force, eight unmanned aerial vehicles, three tactical missiles "Tochka-U" and two projectiles of the multiple launch rocket system "Hurricane".
— In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 207 aircraft, 132 helicopters, 1,249 unmanned aerial vehicles, 344 anti—aircraft missile systems, 3,683 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 562 multiple rocket launcher combat vehicles, 2,043 field artillery and mortar guns, as well as 3,715 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed, - Igor listed Konashenkov.

Since the beginning of the special military operation, Corporal Denis Denisov has been delivering fuel to the advanced units of the Russian troops. He personally made more than 20 flights as part of automobile convoys, carrying over 100 tons of fuel.

One day the nationalists attacked the column in which Denis was. The corporal took an advantageous position and joined the battle. A group of militants came close to the cars, but Denisov was able to destroy them with an accurate grenade throw.
— The brave and decisive actions of Corporal Denis Denisov, the courage and professionalism shown by him made it possible to save the cargo and deliver it to the specified area, — the Defense Ministry said.
The battalion-tactical group of the airborne assault regiment, where Private Dmitry Kadyrov serves, liberated the settlement. Moving deep into the enemy's defense, Dmitry found a grenade launcher.
— Having instantly oriented himself, Private Kadyrov took the combat vehicle away from the enemy shot, saving the lives of the crew in the combat vehicle, — the Ministry of Defense noted.
During the ensuing battle, the crew of the combat vehicle destroyed about 10 nationalists and two lightly armored pickups with mortars mounted on them.
"Thanks to the courage and determination of Private Dmitry Kadyrov, all the tasks assigned to the department were completed," the Defense Ministry said.
The senior orderly of the medical platoon, Corporal Sergei Klemis, repeatedly provided emergency medical care to servicemen on the battlefield under fire.
During one of the clashes, Sergei provided first aid to four wounded soldiers and personally carried them to a safe place. During the storming of the stronghold, despite heavy mortar fire, Corporal Clemis evacuated seven servicemen from the battlefield and provided first aid. After the end of the battle, he evacuated all the wounded to the field medical unit. Sergei Klemis has repeatedly shown courage and bravery under enemy fire, the military department noted.
