TSAMTO, June 17. A meeting of the Russian Defense Ministry Commission on Innovative Projects and Technologies under the leadership of the Head of the Main Department of Innovative Development of the Russian Defense Ministry, Major General Alexander Osadchuk, took place at the Patriot Convention and Exhibition Center.
Within the framework of the meeting, a thematic exhibition "Innovative developments created by enterprises and organizations on an initiative basis" was launched, at which 17 new models were demonstrated in promising areas, such as technical vision, robotics, neurotechnology and programming, unmanned aviation and others.
The participants recognized the effectiveness of military-technical experiments as a mechanism for additional justification of the need to open initiative work and will continue this practice in the future.
They also discussed the use of a simplified format for organizing a meeting of the Commission, thanks to which the opening time of initiative works is significantly reduced, and also made reports on initiative developments carried out in the interests of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
As it was noted, special attention should be paid to the selection of projects of a high degree of readiness, which are really necessary to solve urgent tasks for the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, taking into account the possibility of producing these products in the required quantities.
"Innovations are needed now more than ever, they are needed here and now. This includes the refinement of finished products, and the integration of products in order to obtain a new quality, the use of end–to-end technologies that can improve existing samples, for example, technological artificial intelligence," said A. Osadchuk. He stressed that today it is important to combine the efforts of developers in the interests of obtaining the samples needed by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
Also within the framework of the event, issues of attracting enterprises and organizations developing high-tech samples of weapons and military equipment to carry out initiative work, including on the basis of the Military Innovative Technopolis "ERA", and accelerated implementation of their results to solve real combat tasks were discussed.
The Commission was attended by representatives of the military administration, the Russian Academy of Sciences, the State Corporation Rosatom, the State Corporation Roscosmos, the Foundation for Advanced Research and interested organizations.
The most active participants in the search and selection of projects within the framework of the Commission's work in the second quarter of 2022 were recognized as the Main Command of the Navy, the Main Rocket and Artillery Directorate of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the Office of the Chief of Engineering Troops and the Main Communications Directorate of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
It should be noted that the largest number of initiative developments are carried out by enterprises and organizations in the interests of these military authorities, according to the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
