Saint-Petersburg. June 15th. INTERFAX - United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) plans to complete the first stage of the reconstruction of the Severnaya Shipyard in the second quarter of 2023, USC head Alexey Rakhmanov told reporters on Wednesday.
"We set the completion of the work as a task for the beginning of the second quarter of next year, especially since there is some work left - to finish the building and structures. All the equipment has basically already been purchased key. Let me remind you that this will be the tallest industrial building in St. Petersburg. We hope that we will stay within these deadlines," the head of USC said at the XXV St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
According to Rakhmanov, it is difficult to predict how much the cost of the project will increase. "There is a Glavgosexpertiza for this, which will carefully look at the changing factors and allow us to adjust the budget if necessary," the head of USC added.
Rakhmanov also noted that the competition for the completion of the construction of the Northern Shipyard boathouse in St. Petersburg is scheduled to be announced next week. "The competition will be announced next week. All preparatory procedures are completed. What to do - our second contractor goes bankrupt through no fault of our own," Rakhmanov explained.
As reported, PJSC "Severnaya Verf" at the end of 2021 terminated the contract with LLC "Domestic Systems and Technologies" for the first stage of reconstruction of the shipyard.
