This deep modernization of the T-62 was not for nothing called the "combine of death". The vehicle, first presented at a military parade in Pyongyang, received anti-tank guided missiles installed in external containers - a module with automatic grenade launchers and light anti-aircraft missiles that are clones of the Igla MANPADS.
We are talking about the North Korean main battle tank "Chonma-216". It was first shown in 2017. Judging by the materials appearing on the Web, this sample was in mass production, at least Korean tankers competed in the local equivalent of the "tank biathlon".
Now some of the technical solutions used in the DPRK could find application on the existing T-62M. Perhaps the installation of MANPADS is unnecessary, but modules and containers with automatic grenade launchers and powerful ATGMS would definitely not hurt. Moreover, more recently in Alabino they demonstrated a variant of the "sixty-second" with a modernized sighting complex, which includes thermal imagers.
