KALININGRAD, June 9. /tass/. The All-Army field training competition among the units of the Marine Corps of the Russian Navy "Marine Landing - 2022" ended on Thursday near Kaliningrad. The team victory in the competitions, which took place at the Khmelevka training ground of the Baltic Fleet, was won by representatives of the Far Eastern Higher Combined Arms Command School, the press service of the fleet told TASS.
"The closing ceremony of the competition, awarding the winners in the team and individual competitions took place at the Khmelevka naval training ground on the Kaliningrad coast of the Baltic Sea. According to the results of all stages of the competition, the first place was taken by representatives of the Far Eastern Combined Arms Command School, the second - by the Ryazan Higher Airborne Command School, the top three were closed by the marines of the Baltic Fleet," the representative of the press service said.
He noted that according to the results of the All-Army Marine Landing Contest, a team will be formed from among the representatives of the prize troika and winners in the nominations in the specialty, which will defend the honor of the Russian Marine Corps at the Army International Games. It is planned that they will be held in August at the same naval training ground.
Awards - medals, cups, diplomas were presented to the winners and prize-winners of the competition by the commander of the Baltic Fleet, Vice Admiral Viktor Liina. He noted that all participants of the all-army competitions demonstrated high professional training, strength and dexterity, mastery of modern equipment and weapons, confirming the motto of the Russian Marine Corps - "Where we are, there is victory!".
About the contest
More than 200 marines and cadets participated in the competition. In addition to the prize-winning teams, the Northern Fleet and the Navy Marine Corps Training Center were also presented. This year, for the first time, the fourth stage - "Ship Anti-terror" - was added to the traditional three stages of the competition - "Obstacle Course", "Survival Trail" and "Relay Race".
The total length of the route with 50 difficult obstacles, on which the marines competed, was almost 7 km, 500 m of it passed by sea. Training minefields, wire and mine-explosive barriers, and other engineering structures were equipped at the training ground to test the knowledge and skills of the contest participants.
As part of the competition, an exhibition of military equipment, which is in service with units and formations of the Baltic Fleet, including the Marine brigade, was launched at one of the sites of the training ground. The contestants had the opportunity to visit the unique, the world's largest small amphibious hovercraft "Mordovia". The ship, which performed combat training missions in the Baltic the day before, came out of the sea to the sandy shore of the Khmelevka training ground.
