TSAMTO, June 1. A meeting of the Navy's Military Council was held at the Admiralty under the leadership of the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, Admiral Nikolai Evmenov.
The meeting summed up the results of the Navy's combat training in the winter training period and set tasks for the summer training period of the 2022 academic year.
As it was noted at the meeting, during the winter period of training in the Navy, more than 2,000 combat exercises were performed, the surfacing of surface ships amounted to more than 8000 days. The surfacing time of submarines is more than 1,500 days, and the flight time of Naval aviation is more than 17,000 hours.
The tasks of the command and staff exercises of the Navy forces were carried out at a high level with the elaboration of practical actions to create and maintain the functioning of access restriction zones in the conditions of crisis situations in various areas of the World Ocean. At the same time, over 100 ships, boats and submarines, about 50 support vessels, more than 40 aircraft and 10 coastal missile systems of the Northern, Pacific, Black Sea, Baltic Fleets and the Caspian Flotilla were involved, and over 200 combat exercises with the practical use of weapons were performed. During the exercises, the high training of personnel was demonstrated, the ability of the Navy to solve tasks in any situation was confirmed.
In the course of practicing practical actions under the leadership of the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the forces of the Northern and Black Sea Fleets took part in a training on the management of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation with the successful execution of six missile launches with practical sea-based ballistic cruise missiles.
Also, for the first time in the practice of training the Navy forces, the frigate Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union Gorshkov was successfully fired using hypersonic Zircon missiles.
The Main Command of the Russian Navy in the winter training period paid increased attention to the effectiveness of training crews of surface ships and submarines in the training centers of the Navy. Many years of experience in training personnel within the walls of Training centers plays a crucial role in the formation of well-coordinated and effective units for the submarine forces of the Russian Navy. The training was conducted according to updated programs that take into account the most modern requirements for the use of naval forces at sea, as well as the active equipping of the Navy with new models of weapons and equipment. In particular, during the winter training period, more than 10 crews of nuclear and non-nuclear submarines were trained at the Navy training centers, and surface ship crews were actively trained at the Joint Navy Training Center.
The most important task in the winter training period was also performed by the Navy Marine Corps Training Center, where about 150 servicemen were trained according to training programs for service as part of anti-terrorist groups on Navy ships performing tasks in the World Ocean.
During the winter period of training, work was carried out to improve the preparation of the Navy's search and rescue service to perform tasks for their intended purpose. Thus, more than 100 vessels and more than 10 rescue teams have been prepared to conduct search and rescue operations.
In the Naval Aviation units of the fleets, over 50 crews have been trained to act singly and as part of tactical groups.
Defining the tasks for the summer training period, the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy, Admiral Nikolai Evmenov, noted that "at present, the Navy is playing an important role in ensuring Russia's naval presence in the oceans and guarantees the country's security from sea and ocean directions. Therefore, active work will continue to improve the quality parameters of planned combat training of surface ships and vessels, submarine forces, coastal troops and Naval aviation of the Navy. Special attention will be paid to the implementation of the state defense order in terms of maintenance, repair and construction of ships and vessels of the Navy, maintenance and operation of weapons, military and special equipment. Separate efforts will be directed at preparing the forces for participation in the Main Naval Parade in St. Petersburg and Kronstadt, participation in the international military-technical form "Army-2022", as well as preparing the forces for international competitions within the framework of the "Army International Games-2022", namely, the "Sea Cup", "Marine Landing", "Depth", as well as two new competitions among the units of the Russian Navy "Sea Breeze" and "Worker of the Sea".
