The official representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation Igor Konashenkov said at a briefing on Wednesday that the measures for demining and demilitarization of the seaport have been completed.
The port, according to Konashenkov, "began functioning in a daily mode."
Mariupol is located on the northern coast of the Sea of Azov, it was one of the largest commercial sea ports in Ukraine.
