Catamaran WAM-V
The California company Marine Advanced Robotics has made significant progress in creating an unusual modular vessel WAM-V, the prototype of which was first released 16 years ago.
WAM-V is an ultralight catamaran with four shock—absorbing struts on the waves, between which the hull is located. Externally, the vessel resembles a giant water skimmer. This design provides him with excellent maneuverability and stability while driving — including in strong excitement.

The ability to quickly respond to the changing situation at sea is provided by an adaptive part with modular quick-release interfaces, through which operators can quickly change engines, payloads, sensors and instruments depending on the task being performed. The WAM-V can be controlled from the cockpit as well as remotely.

The design of the WAM-V allows you to produce a vessel in a variety of sizes, from 30 to 2.4 meters. If necessary, its "legs" are folded — in this position up to four five-meter catamarans can be transported in a conventional sea container. The vessel can be equipped with both an internal combustion engine and an electric motor. Marine Advanced Robotics already produces vessels with "basic" racks with a height of 2.4, 4.8 and 6.7 m. With larger sizes — on separate orders.
