The shipyard "Severnaya Verf" continues construction of a series of fishing trawlers-processors of project 170701 for the holding NOREBO. According to the press service of the enterprise, the fifth trawler of the series has already received the main engine.
The main engine was loaded onto the fifth trawler of the Captain Aces series. Installation of the unit weighing 70 tons in the engine room of the vessel was carried out by two cranes simultaneously. The final installation will be carried out after launching the trawler. A day earlier, the shipbuilders loaded a gearbox onto the ship, and in the near future they will load other necessary equipment.
The hull of the Captain Tuzov was formed in April, now work is underway on the formation of the superstructure, which is assembled from ready-made sections, which significantly speeds up the construction of ships. The trawler received its name in honor of the captain of fishing vessels of the Murmansk trawl Fleet Vasily Nikitich Tuzov, whose crew for many years was among the top ten and received awards for maximum catch and high culture of navigation.
The freezing trawler processor of the 170701 project was developed by the Nautic Rus design Bureau and is designed to operate in the North Atlantic. In total, it is planned to build ten vessels, six of which will operate in the Northern Basin, and four in the Far East. A waste-free fish and seafood processing factory is being installed on board the trawler. The vessel has increased seaworthiness due to the capsule-shaped hull and Ice2 ice class, which allows the trawler to operate in ice up to 0.5 m thick.
The main characteristics of project 170701: maximum (overall) length – 81.6 m, width – 16 m, speed – 15 knots, displacement – 5500 tons, main engine power – 6.2 MW, total capacity – 150 tons of fish per day, freezing capacity – 100 tons of fish per day.
