The corvette of the Caspian flotilla "Uglich" with Kalibr cruise missiles will make the transition from Kaspiysk to St. Petersburg. During the campaign, he will be accompanied by the anti-sabotage boat "Yunarmeets Tatarstan" project 21980 "Grachonok".
The ships, according to the press service of the Southern Military District, will take part in the main naval parade on the Day of the Russian Navy.
The inter-fleet crossing, which will last 14 days, is scheduled to begin on May 24. The small rocket ship of the Buyan-M project and the boat will pass through the Volga-Don shipping Channel, the Rybinsk reservoir and Lake Ladoga. In total, "Uglich" and "Yunarmeets of Tatarstan" will overcome more than 2.5 thousand kilometers and 56 locks.
"During the transition, the crews will have to work out maneuverable elements - the passage of narrowness by the ship, joint navigation, conduct exercises to fight for survivability on the move, training in communication and electronic jamming, as well as the organization of anti-aircraft and anti-submarine defense," the press service of the Southern Military District said.
