The multipurpose nuclear submarine of the project 885M "Yasen-M" "Kazan" as part of the exercises in the Barents Sea has worked out a dive to the maximum depth. This is reported by the press service of the Northern Fleet.

The Kazan multipurpose submarine is the lead submarine of the 885M Yasen-M project. Laid down on July 24, 2009, launched on March 31, 2017, joined the fleet on May 7, 2021. Displacement of 13,800 tons, crew - 64 people, autonomy - 100 days, underwater speed - 31 knots. Mines, 533 mm torpedoes, Kalibr and Onyx cruise missiles are in service. The maximum diving depth is stated at 600 meters.

The crew of the submarine successfully coped with the tasks. All systems and mechanisms of the ship were working normally. The submarine confirmed its technical capabilities. The dive was carried out in the deep-water areas of the Barents Sea on the border with the Norwegian
