A Russian BTR-82A shot a Bogdan truck of Ukrainian armed formations at full speed. This happened at the beginning of a special operation on the territory of the Sumy region, but the video taken by the registrar of one of the passing cars was made public only now. Perhaps, during that raid, other APU equipment also got, but this remained behind the scenes.
During the march along the highway, the armored personnel carrier came across an enemy artillery unit armed with 152-mm D-20 howitzer guns, which were towed by KRAZY. "Bogdany" were used to transport ammunition and transport personnel.
Interestingly, Ukrainian propagandists tried to completely distort what happened, declaring the armored personnel carrier to be their own, and the all-terrain vehicle to be ours. However, anyone who is at least a little interested in automotive technology knows that cars of this model have never been supplied to the Russian armed forces.
What happened once again demonstrates the correctness of adopting the BTR-82A, which began to replace veterans of many local wars - the BTR-80, which have been in service for almost four decades.
Although the "eighty-second" looks similar to its predecessor, in many ways it is already a different combat vehicle. The main difference in armament: now, instead of the 14.5-mm Semyon Vladimirova machine gun, a 30-mm 2A72 automatic cannon developed by Arkady Shipunov and Vasily Gryazev is used.
This gun, like the gunner's sight, has stabilization and allows you to effectively fire at a sufficiently high speed.
At a range of up to 4000 meters, the enemy's manpower is affected (at KPVT - 2000 meters), and light armored vehicles at distances up to 2000 meters (at KPVT - 1000 meters).
The most advanced versions of the BTR-82 received thermal imaging sights, which significantly increased the possibility of conducting combat operations at night.
