Moscow. May 7. INTERFAX - The head of Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, said that the state corporation has begun to conduct mobilization training to accelerate the production of military products.
"Roscosmos has begun to conduct mobilization training to expand the production of communications equipment, spacecraft and combat missile systems," Rogozin said in an interview with the Rossiya 24 TV channel (VGTRK).
"It is necessary to discard bureaucratic procedures, rules that are suitable for peaceful life, but absolutely not suitable for the mobilization economy. We must trust the heads of enterprises, who must make decisions and be responsible for them," he said.
On April 20, 2022, the Russian Defense Ministry announced the first test launch of a stationary-based Sarmat ICBM from the Plesetsk cosmodrome. According to the ministry, the launch tasks were completed in full, the design characteristics of the rocket were confirmed at all stages of its flight. The training combat units arrived in a given area at the Kura training ground on the Kamchatka Peninsula.
On April 25, Rogozin announced that Roscosmos was almost ready for serial production of the Sarmat.
The Sarmat rocket will be put into service no later than the autumn of 2022, the head of Roscosmos said on April 23.
It was reported that the Sarmat missiles will be mass-produced at the Krasmash plant (Krasnoyarsk, Roscosmos Corporation).
ICBM RS-28 "Sarmat" will replace the world's most powerful strategic mine-based missile RS-20V "Voevoda" (according to NATO classification - SS-18 "Satan") in the Uzhurskaya (Krasnoyarsk Territory) and Dombarovskaya (Orenburg region) divisions of the RVSN.
