TSAMTO, May 6. A meeting of the Coordinating Council of the United Shipbuilding Corporation for the Development of the Production System (PS) was held at the site of the shipyard "Severnaya Verf" (part of the USC).
As a result of the meeting, the program for improving the productivity of the USC Group companies for 2022 was approved.
The event was attended by the General Director of USC Alexey Rakhmanov, members of the Coordinating Council for the development of the PS corporation and the heads of the companies of the USC Group. The key issue that was discussed at the meeting was the increase in labor productivity. The delegation led by Alexey Rakhmanov visited two workshops. The managers got acquainted with the development of the production system at the Northern Shipyard.
The heads of the workshops during the inspection of the sites in their reports noted that in a short period of work, following the results of the landing of the production system, significant positive changes are visible. There was a decrease in the volume of overproduction and a reduction in the installation time of ship systems by 30-50%, the production culture increased.
For reference: the production system has been implemented at USC enterprises since 2017.
As the head of USC emphasized, the development of the production system is relevant for all Russian shipyards from the point of view of both production culture and economy. "There is a huge potential to increase production efficiency, reduce the construction time of orders due to the tools of the production system," said Alexey Rakhmanov.
Other factories also shared their experience in this direction. The meeting heard reports of the general directors of the enterprises "Krasnoe Sormovo", "Admiralty Shipyards", PSZ "Yantar", "Proletarian Plant" with the best practices in labor productivity.
At the summing up of the meeting, Alexey Rakhmanov stressed that the introduction of the 5S system and other elements of the production system is the future of dynamic and modern production. Such field meetings provide an opportunity for the heads of enterprises to adopt the positive experience of other plants and improve their work processes.
