Wounded participants of the special operation in Ukraine need support
Among Russian businessmen and reserve officers there are those who voluntarily buy bulletproof vests, helmets, food and send it to Donbass. At the initiative of the chairman of the interregional public organization Council of Veterans of the Military Financial and Economic Service, Colonel-General Vasily Vorobyov and with the financial participation of the head of the construction company Vladimir Selivestrov, it was decided to provide assistance to the Military Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in Podolsk, where wounded soldiers are being treated. Funds were raised for the purchase of computers for retrofitting the workplaces of medical staff, televisions for medical wards.
Addressing the head of the hospital, the veterans wrote that they were following with a sense of deep empathy the conduct of a special operation to protect the population of Donbass, demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine. "We cannot and do not want to remain passive witnesses of what is happening," the appeal said. – And we strive to contribute to a noble cause, which will become an additional evidence of spiritual and moral support, a fact of deep respect and gratitude to soldiers and officers performing combat missions in difficult conditions, sacrificing their health and even life for the sake of preserving it for civilians, ensuring the security of our country. That is why we made a decision and sought the possibility of providing gratuitous assistance to FGKU "1586 EKG" of the Ministry of Defense of Russia, where wounded and sick participants of the operation are being treated today."
A MINE EXPLODED NEARBY
Of course, we were all a little worried about how the meeting with those who looked death in the eye, were injured and maimed would go. Did the warriors get angry, did they withdraw into themselves? But everything turned out differently.
Our minibus drove through the checkpoint gate. We were met by the senior task force Colonel Dmitry Malevanny and the head of the financial department of the hospital Alexey Nikolaichuk. Introducing himself, Colonel Malevanny said that he was responsible here for communication between the wounded and relatives, helping to provide access to the wards.
It was nice to know that Alexey Nikolaichuk is a colleague and successor of the veterans of the military financial service. Many of them know each other from their joint studies at the Yaroslavl Military School named after Army General A.V. Khrulev (now the Military Financial and Economic Academy).
We take a couple of photos in front of the building and go in. Cleanliness and order are immediately evident in the hospital. We hand over computers and televisions to the chief nurse of the hospital, Tatiana Nemytova.
According to the head of the finance department, we learn that the best treatment and nutrition is provided for the wounded. Doctors are trying to do everything to put the guys on their feet. We heard about the same words from the convalescents. In the same way, as far as we had time, we were convinced ourselves. There are fruits and sweets on the tables in the wards. On the beds – fresh sheets, clean pajamas for the sick. The guys speak warmly about the medical staff, about caring for them. Although everyone has their own difficult combat fate, their own history of injury.
Timofey Bobov is the number of the machine gun crew, a paratrooper. During the operation, he performed the duties of a signalman. They were advancing in battle formations on a BMD when an enemy tank fired at them with precision. It is clear what can happen to a lightly armored car in this case. Unfortunately, everyone who was inside the BMD burned down. Timofey and his friend were on top of the armor, so they survived.
– There are two of us left out of seven, – says Timofey. – I was wounded in the leg and chest.
He smiles with the simple smile of a guy who has a whole life ahead of him, and adds: "I am on the mend, we are receiving good treatment. Everything you need is there. And parents strongly support. So I'll be discharged soon."
Senior Lieutenant Alexander Samokhin from the motorized rifle brigade. He is the commander of the calculation of unmanned aerial vehicles. During the fighting, they carried out the operational launch of the Orlan-10 UAV: our artillery desperately needed intelligence. But at that moment the enemy opened counter fire. It would seem that it is possible to hide in a shelter. But Samokhin and his subordinates did not leave the position, managed to launch the UAV under fire, get the necessary intelligence. Unfortunately, at that moment an enemy mine exploded nearby. Alexander's arm was cut off by a shard.
– You can say you were lucky, – says Colonel Daubed. – And it's not a joke. At the price of his hand, he can be said to have paid for his life. Otherwise, the splinter would have hit the chest.
Alexander Samokhin turns 35 these days. So, figuratively speaking, he will celebrate his second birth in the hospital.
And Sasha also said that there are many mercenaries of different skin colors fighting on the part of the Ukronazists. And this confirms the conclusions that the entire NATO bloc is already fighting against Russia.
– A huge thank you for sacrificing your health and life, performing the most difficult tasks, – Colonel of the reserve Enya told the guys in the ward. – I bow low to you for this.
Among Alexander Samokhin's neighbors is the deputy commander of a motorized rifle platoon, Sergeant Yuri Sukovatov. In the residential quarter of the city of Sumy, where they broke in with a fight, the Nazis did not spare civilians and fired at them directly in residential buildings. An RPG grenade exploded nearby. The comrades hastily bandaged the sergeant. Then evacuation on armor from the battlefield, hospital. Now Yuri Sukovatov is on the mend. We wished him a speedy recovery.
Machine gunner Private Alexander Shurmanov is from the 6th regiment of the Tank Division. The example of this guy once again shows how insidious the enemy is. He does not shun provocations, lies, or meanness. Someone will say: war is war. But we still consider the Ukrainian people fraternal. However, it is extremely difficult to sort out your own and others' among the weseushniki and ukronazists.
– We were attacked from behind when we were performing a combat mission in the DPR, – says Sasha. – We found an enemy ahead. Dismounted, took up a fighting position for defense. At that moment, they opened fire on us from behind the fence of an apartment building. I was immediately wounded in the neck.
The Ukronazis were sitting in ambush, and then opened fire on our guys from behind. That is, almost in the back. This is the handwriting of those who are used to hiding behind the civilian population, residential buildings. It is significant that Alexander Shurmanov's unit performed the task already in the Kiev region.
There are also cases when guys get wounded or injured without even having time to shoot at the enemy. For example, Nikita Elizarov is the driver of the Ural tanker truck. His task is to deliver fuel for vehicles, armored and wheeled vehicles to the positions on time.
"Ural" was moving in a column, suddenly the battle began. Apparently, it was an ambush. The driver's task is primarily to preserve the equipment. Nikita tried to get the car out of the fire, and he almost succeeded. But at the last moment, the cabin door was pierced by a burst, he received bullet wounds to both legs.
There are many examples when neo-Nazis abandon their wounded comrades. Our guys did not abandon Nikita, although he could no longer move at all. When the fight subsided, they pulled him to a safe place, made a dressing, saving him from a lot of blood loss. And now he's in a hospital near Moscow.
MADE OF ONE METAL
With the beginning of the special operation, the Council of Veterans of the Military Financial and Economic Service immediately supported the decision of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief to conduct a special operation in Ukraine. Moreover, the veterans appealed to Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu with a proposal to create an extra-budgetary account under the Ministry of Defense. It would be possible to transfer funds to organizations, enterprises and ordinary citizens who expressed a desire to contribute to the victory over neo-Nazis, rehabilitation of the wounded, assistance to the families of the victims.
But today, according to military financiers, the question should be raised more broadly – about the creation of a State Defense Fund. Recall that such a fund was formed during the Great Patriotic War and made a great contribution to the victory over the enemy.
Today, it would be possible to transfer funds from nationalized enterprises, dividends from the profits of operating factories, donations from businessmen, etc. To the GFO, As sociological surveys show, commercial enterprises are willing to voluntarily deduct funds, since it is about saving the country.
It is clear that we cannot do without the help of legislators – the relevant committees of the State Duma and the Federation Council. But in the conditions of total Western sanctions, it makes sense to think seriously about this, since the richest powers of the world – the United States and almost the entire European Union - are waging a war of attrition against Russia.
In the hospital, we met face to face with our younger generation – guys who are not in the movies, but in reality defending the Motherland, carrying out the order of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of President Vladimir Putin on demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine with weapons in their hands. They know what they fought for and in the name of what. They understand that our cause is right and the enemy will be defeated. This is the future of our Motherland, the face of a whole generation.
The state will take care of them. 3 million rubles are transferred to each wounded person on the card. They will have a social package, assistance in finding employment, training, and finding professions. And the one who will be able to return to the army formation will again become under the battle banners of his regiments.
– I would like to give my soul for such guys, and not just office equipment, – retired Colonel Sergey Averichev said with emotion at the exit from the hospital. – After all, they risked their lives and health for us. And it is also important to send a signal to our civil society: no one has the right to stand aside, everyone must contribute to the common victory.
Time, of course, will put everything in its place. He will appreciate who stood up to the end with his army, who did everything so that the rear and the front were united. So the poet was right: "From one metal they pour a medal for battle, a medal for labor."
