Moscow. April 26. INTERFAX - Obukhov Plant, as part of the diversification of production and an increase in the share of civilian products, begins production of a "Sand 3D printer" and an atomizer, the press service of the Almaz-Antey Concern of East Kazakhstan Region, which the company is part of, reports.
The Sand 3D Printer will work on Russian raw materials and domestic software, which will allow us to completely abandon foreign analogues over time," the message said on Tuesday.
According to the press service, a high-performance universal 3D machine will be used to create sand molds and rods for complex castings. The Obukhov plant has already received the first order for the supply and commissioning of the "Sand 3D Printer", the product will be delivered to the customer at the end of 2022.
"The atomizer is designed for the manufacture of powders from various metals and alloys. The resulting powders are also suitable for use on imported equipment, while they can completely replace the supply of imported analogues," the report says.
It is reported that the Obukhov plant is simultaneously preparing for the production of two types of domestic atomizers: the first type is with vertical melt spraying for pilot and small-scale production, the second is based on a plasma atomization unit for the production of powder from secondary metallurgical processing (wire).
"Prototypes of products will be ready in the first quarter of 2023. The company plans to expand this area of production," the press service informs.
The report notes that the Obukhov plant is already producing an industrial high-temperature additive installation "Casket", which allows manufacturing products from structural thermoplastic materials. In addition, the company produces a line of 3D printers "Helios" designed for education.
