"Calibres" and "Iskanders" successfully hit enemy strongholds on the front line and in the near rear

Missile strikes

— As a result of the strike with high—precision long-range Kalibr missiles in the area of the Meliorative railway station, up to a battalion of enemy personnel with weapons and military equipment was destroyed, - said the official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, Major General Igor Konashenkov.
On the night of April 22, the Ukrainian S-300 long-range anti-aircraft missile system was destroyed by air-launched cruise missiles near the settlement of Novoselka.
During the day, 13 military facilities of Ukraine were hit by high-precision air-launched missiles. Including two control points, eleven strong points and places of concentration of manpower and Ukrainian military equipment. As a result, up to two companies of nationalists were destroyed, as well as 27 units of Ukrainian armored vehicles and cars. In addition, a warehouse of missiles for the Osa-AKM anti-aircraft missile systems was hit in the village of Chervonnoye.
The Ukrainian Mi-8 helicopter, the Buk-M1 anti-aircraft missile system, as well as an electronic warfare station were destroyed by missile troops near the village of Barvenkovo at the field airfield. In other areas, the control center, five areas of concentration of manpower and military equipment and two artillery batteries were hit.
Operational-tactical and army aviation hit 84 military facilities of Ukraine during the day. Among them are two command posts and 21 areas of concentration of manpower and military equipment. Near the settlements of Toretsky, Komar and Bogatyr, the aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces destroyed three warehouses of rocket and artillery weapons.
The Defense Ministry said that one of the Ukrainian drones shot down during the day was hit by a high-precision air-to-air missile. Ten more units were destroyed by air defense means.
The success of the latest Buk-M3 anti-aircraft missile system has been confirmed. With his help, a Ukrainian tactical missile "Tochka-U" was shot down near the village of Donetsk.

Operational-tactical aviation and helicopters work mainly on the frontline and near the enemy's rear," military expert Dmitry Boltenkov explained to Izvestia. — It is interesting that now powerful high—precision long-range weapons - "Calibers" and "Iskanders" are increasingly being used to defeat strongholds. They allow powerful attacks to be carried out completely suddenly.
The expert noted that in recent days, the Ministry of Defense has several times announced the defeat of objects with precision weapons in the areas of the most intense fighting — at Popasnaya and south of Izyum. As a result, there is now a noticeable successful promotion.
— An airplane or helicopter is visible and audible from afar. You can have time to hide in shelters and disperse, especially if we are talking about a prepared strong point. The fall of the ballistic Iskander always comes suddenly and without warning. Such attacks not only cause heavy losses, but also hit morale, support uncertainty and fear in the enemy, — Dmitry Boltenkov believes.
According to the Ministry of Defense, 140 Ukrainian aircraft, 107 helicopters, 523 unmanned aerial vehicles, 258 anti-aircraft missile systems, 2,458 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 272 multiple rocket launchers, 1,069 field artillery and mortars, as well as 2305 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed since the beginning of the special military operation.
— All the remnants of the Ukrainian Nazis "Azov" together with foreign mercenaries from the United States and European countries are securely blocked on the territory of the Azovstal plant, — said Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov, commenting on the situation in Mariupol. — The Nazis ignore our demands to release the women and children allegedly with them for free travel in any direction. Residents of the city were able to move freely through the streets without hiding from the shelling of the Ukrainian Nazis. Humanitarian aid is being delivered: food, water and basic necessities. The authorities of the Donetsk People's Republic are organizing the clearing of streets from rubble and the removal of the affected Ukrainian military equipment.
On April 22, the Ministry of Defense published data on the incident with the cruiser "Moscow". The ministry reported that as a result of the fire on April 13, the ship was seriously damaged due to the detonation of ammunition.
"The crew's attempts to extinguish the fire did not lead to results. During the struggle for the survivability of the ship, one serviceman was killed, another 27 crew members were missing. The remaining 396 crew members were evacuated from the cruiser to the Black Sea Fleet ships in the area and taken to Sevastopol," the Defense Ministry said.
Another chance
On Friday, the head of the National Defense Control Center, Colonel-General Mikhail Mizintsev, spoke about the humanitarian situation in Mariupol. According to him, since March 21, the Russian Armed Forces have been announcing humanitarian pauses every day to evacuate residents of the city in any direction they choose. This significantly slowed down the advance of the troops, but thanks to this decision, it was possible to evacuate more than 143 thousand people. In addition, it made it possible to safely leave 1,844 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who surrendered.
"These statistics show that the accusations of the authorities of Ukraine and the countries of the so—called civilized West against the Armed Forces of Russia and the formations of the Donetsk People's Republic are groundless in creating some obstacles to the exit of civilians and not providing conditions for the surrender of Ukrainian servicemen," the general said. — These blatant lies and deception, spread by the collective West in order to discredit the actions of the Russian Armed Forces, during a special military operation have become almost round the clock.
Mikhail Mizintsev said that the Russian Federation consistently informs the world community about its actions.
— For our country, this fundamental issue in the conditions of round-the-clock baseless information hysteria filled with millions of fake messages has been and remains one of the main aspects of all activities in the Ukrainian direction. That is why, in accordance with this principled position, as well as guided by purely humane principles and in response to the ongoing allegations of the Ukrainian side about the alleged presence of civilians on Azovstal, we once again declare that Russia is ready to introduce a "silence regime" at any moment and declare a humanitarian pause for the evacuation of civilians (if such they are actually located in the underground structures of the combine), as well as Ukrainian Armed Forces servicemen who have expressed a desire to lay down their arms, militants of nationalist battalions, including wounded Ukrainian servicemen, whose presence is also announced daily by Kiev officials," the general noted.
Evacuation under fire
On April 22, the Russian Defense Ministry told about the soldiers and officers who showed courage and dedication in the battles. The head of the branch of the military hospital, Major of the medical service Robert Bayrambekov, competently organized medical support for one of the groups of Russian troops, as well as work in medical units subordinate to him. In particular, he managed to establish effective cooperation with aviation, ensuring the timely evacuation of the wounded. He personally led the medical team when it came under heavy fire. Despite the heavy fire, the medics were able to evacuate 15 wounded soldiers and officers without loss.
"During the special military operation, Major Bayrambekov ensured the evacuation of more than 600 servicemen," the Defense Ministry noted.
Captain Maxim Shevchenko's group was tasked with finding and destroying Ukrainian saboteurs. More than 20 militants managed to find the night when they made the crossing.
"Thanks to the high level of tactical training of Maxim Shevchenko, a group of Russian servicemen in skorotechnoye destroyed the commander of a sabotage and reconnaissance group and 9 nationalists. The remnants of the enemy unit, deprived of leadership, began to retreat rapidly, leaving the wounded on the battlefield. The Russian military, developing the offensive, continued to pursue the nationalists, as a result of which some of the militants firing back were eliminated, and the rest, laying down their weapons, surrendered," the Defense Ministry said.
The ministry said that the prisoners gave important information about the location of the headquarters coordinating their actions.
The regiment's deputy commander in the rear, Major Vyacheslav Manakhov, was responsible for providing all the necessary supplies to the advancing Russian units. He repeatedly had to deliver ammunition and materiel to the line of contact with the Ukrainian armed forces. In total, under the leadership of Major Manakhov, more than 15 successful flights were made to supply troops. Also, under his direct control, measures were taken to provide assistance and restore vital facilities in the liberated settlements, the Ministry of Defense noted.
