Made in Russia: Top 10 from Roselectronics

Today, thousands of products are manufactured at the enterprises of the Rostec State Corporation's Roselectronics Holding – from electronic components to optical equipment, medical devices, complex software systems and systems. Many of them are presented in the online catalog of civil products of the radio-electronic complex of the Corporation. We are talking about ten products of "Roselektronika" – the most interesting and in demand.

Tropospheric communication station "Groza"

The principle of operation of tropospheric radio communication is based on the reflection of signals from the lower layer of the atmosphere. This allows you to connect equipment at a great distance – up to 500 km. Tropospheric stations are effective where satellite communication does not work or is not profitable. Tropospheric communication is actively used in the armed forces, but it can also be used for civilian purposes, for example, to provide hard-to-reach areas with Internet.

Until recently, high-speed tropospheric stations were not mass-produced in Russia. NPP Radiosvyaz, as part of the Roselectronics holding, undertook to fill this gap: a digital noise-proof tropospheric communication station for civil purposes, Groza, was developed here.

The station is designed for wireless broadband communication in mountainous, inaccessible and sparsely populated areas, in the Far North, along coastlines, highways and railways, as well as at remote industrial facilities. Groza can provide communication within a radius of 210 km and transmit data at speeds up to 25 Mbit/s in tropospheric communication mode and up to 155 Mbit/s in radio relay communication mode. For example, a speed of 25 Mbit/s is enough to watch videos in good quality.

Radio stations operating in the DMR standard (Digital Mobile Radio, digital mobile radio communication) have a lot of advantages over analog walkie-talkies. They provide high-quality communication at a fairly low price of devices, a high level of information security and ease of use. DMR radios are widely used in business, security, construction, and transport.

DMR equipment developed by the Constellation concern of the Roselectronics holding includes portable, automotive and stationary radio stations. The walkie-talkies are resistant to vibrations, shocks, temperature changes, and are moisture-proof. The devices provide high-quality communication at a distance of up to 10 km with a base distance of up to 30 km, protected from direct listening and interference. The design of the DMR-walkie-talkies case was developed in the Artemy Lebedev Studio, and the interface is intuitive. Radio stations of "Roselectronics" are already used in the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, guaranteeing rescuers communication in the most difficult situations.

AORL-1AS radar

Chelyabinsk radio plant "Flight" of the Vega concern − the country's largest manufacturer of aviation navigation equipment – develops and produces aerodrome radars of the new generation AORL-1AS. Today, a total of more than 40 airports in Russia and other countries use these devices.

AORL-1AS is an airfield surveillance radar used at airports with any intensity of flights. The equipment allows you to track aircraft at a distance of up to 400 km. AORL-1AS uses a modern solid-state element base and the latest signal processing algorithms that work effectively even in difficult geographical conditions, including in mountainous areas. At the same time, the radar automatically adjusts to meteorological features and the landscape. The development of "Roselectronics" is part of the radar precision approach system RSP-2ST.

Compact recirculator with UV diodes

As you know, at the risk of spreading malicious viruses and bacteria, it is recommended to ventilate the premises as often as possible, that is, to start air recirculation. For greater efficiency, special devices are used – bactericidal recirculators that destroy harmful particles in the premises. Nizhny Novgorod NPP "Salyut" as part of "Roselectronics" produces a series of compact recirculators – air disinfectants.

The devices are based on ultraviolet LEDs, the radiation of which has a bactericidal effect. By driving air through the chamber, the device irradiates it, destroying pathogenic viruses and microbes. The device is absolutely harmless to humans and can work continuously.

Recirculators of "Roselektronika" are compact in size, low in weight and are powered by a 12 V network, including via a USB port. The latter allows them to be used in private cars and public transport. To increase the processing area, you can create a chain of several devices.

Traveling Wave lamp

The traveling wave lamp (LBW) is one of the most common microwave devices used in radar, space exploration, and communication satellites. The devices are used to amplify the power of an ultra-high-frequency radio wave, which, in turn, increases the distance of the radio signal delivery. Such a lamp can amplify the power of microwave equipment by hundreds of thousands of times.

The Saratov NPP Almaz is engaged in the creation of LBV in Roselectronics, 36 types of lamps for spacecraft have been developed here. One of the latest developments of the company is an onboard traveling wave lamp with cooling due to infrared radiation into outer space. Due to this, the thermal load on the thermoregulation system of satellites, where the new LBV will be used, will be reduced by more than half.

Almaz-Spektr gas detector

The same Almaz produces devices that control the atmosphere at industrial enterprises. And this is not about the mood in the team, but about the presence of dangerous gas mixtures in the air, the ignition of which can lead to an explosion, destruction and human casualties.

With the help of a built-in high-precision optical sensor, the Almaz-Spektr gas detector detects the presence of methane in the atmosphere. If the gas concentration exceeds the permissible concentration, an alarm sounds. Due to the explosion-proof design and wide temperature range of operation, the gas analyzer can be used in a variety of places: from gas production and storage enterprises to gas stations and the subway.

Anti-drone complex "Ataka-DBS"

In the last few years, unmanned aerial vehicles have made a breakthrough in development and have become an effective means of espionage and attack. In this race, anti-UAV devices are not lagging behind. Roselectronics offers its own version of anti-electronic technology.

The Ataka-DBS complex allows automatic detection and identification of unmanned aerial vehicles at a distance of up to 1.5 km. If the UAV is recognized as a stranger, the complex independently blocks its communication and navigation channels, and the drone actually becomes helpless. At the same time, all friendly equipment in the area of the "Attack" remains operational. The reaction time of the system is 0.1 s. The architecture of the complex allows you to build large-scale networks, covering large spaces with a "protective dome". Ataka-DBS is in demand in the oil industry, airport security, and other high-tech facilities.

Frost-resistant batteries

Many car owners know that in severe frost, car batteries are discharged faster than at positive temperatures. And if for a motorist it threatens only with additional manipulations when starting the engine, then in various special equipment, for example in medical, this situation may become more critical. To avoid this, the NGO "Impulse" of the holding "Roselektronika" has developed frost-resistant batteries operating at a temperature range from -50 to +50 °C.

The devices can be used in the conditions of the Far North and the Arctic, as well as for space flights. Other fields of application are aviation, shipbuilding, robotics, armament, and the oil and gas sector. The chemical battery current source weighing only 150 g is designed for 2700 charge-discharge cycles. The batteries were created as part of the import substitution program and are fully unified with foreign samples, the replacement of which with frost-resistant Russian analogues will not cause problems.

Reed switches

The Ryazan plant of metal–ceramic devices is one of the three world leaders in the production of reed switches - hermetic switches used in various equipment: from washing machines to spaceships. In 2021, the company "Roselectronics" released its five-billion reed switch.

The work of reed switches can be found today at almost every step – in aircraft construction, computers, cars. Recently, Ryazan started a new direction − the development of wireless devices for the Internet of Things based on reed switches. These devices will be used to ensure safety at facilities, as well as where temperature control is necessary. With their help, doors, hatches, windows will be opened and closed remotely. The development potential of the direction is very high.
