The failed T-64s of the Ukrainian armed formations are planned to be restored at the CZECHOSLOVAK GROUP, a private Czech arms trading and manufacturing company.
As reported, this organization is already engaged in the supply of various military equipment and special equipment to Ukraine.
This decision was made because the armored factories located in Kharkov and Kiev were almost completely destroyed by missile strikes.
Currently, the possibility of repairing the BRDM-2 armored reconnaissance patrol vehicles and armored personnel carriers of various types released during the existence of the USSR is also being discussed. However, other enterprises are still planning to involve in these works.
It is noted that equipment that has received serious damage during military operations will be sent to the Czech Republic.
Russian experts are skeptical about this idea, consider it more of a propaganda campaign aimed at imitating activities in support of the Kiev regime and related to the desire to master the allocated budget funds.
As a rule, the "sixty-fourth" APU in battles receive such damage that it is simply impossible to restore them in principle - very often tanks completely burn down or their ammunition explodes. As a result, towers fly off, hulls burst at the seams of welding, all onboard equipment is completely destroyed.
Cars with minor malfunctions, in most cases, are not evacuated to the rear, but simply thrown by their crews.
In addition, Czech specialists have no experience working with the T-64, they are well aware of only the T-54/55 and T-72. The Kharkov car has a different engine, chassis, gun loading mechanism, fire control system. To master the repair of all of the above, it will take a long time. In addition, it is unknown where to get spare parts from. Therefore, if the tanks are somehow repaired, it will be in very limited quantities.
According to local media, at the beginning of this month, the Czech Republic provided Ukraine with weapons and military equipment worth 1.1 billion crowns. These are small arms, anti-tank missiles, Dana self-propelled howitzers and multiple rocket launchers RM-70 "Grad".
