In the area of the settlement of Izyum, Kharkiv region, two Ukrainian Su-25 aircraft were sold in the air. This was announced on Monday, April 11, by the official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, Major General Igor Konashenkov.
"Two Ukrainian Su-25 aircraft were shot down in the air by Russian air defense means in the area of the settlement of Izyum. In addition, three unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed in the Balakley districts of the Kharkiv region, Gulyai—Pole and Volnovakha, as well as one unmanned aerial vehicle of the Valkyrie type in the Mykolaiv region," he said.
In addition, a Ukrainian military helicopter Mi-24 was shot down in the air by small arms in the vicinity of the settlement of Posad-Pokrovskoye, Kherson region. Also, high-precision sea-based Kalibr missiles on the southern outskirts of Dnepropetrovsk destroyed the equipment of the S-300 anti-aircraft missile division hidden in a hangar.
"Four S-300 launchers and up to 25 personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were also hit. In the area of the settlement of Velikaya Novoselovka, the repair base of weapons and military equipment of the Ukrainian air defense forces, including the Buk-M1 and OSA-AKM anti—aircraft missile systems, was destroyed," Konashenkov added.
Two ammunition depots of Ukrainian troops were destroyed in the areas of the settlements of Nikolaev and Zhovtnevoye.
"As a result of high-precision strikes in the areas of Vozdvizhenka- 2 and Ivanovka settlements of the Donetsk region, nine tanks, five 2S3 Acacia self—propelled artillery units, five BM-21 Grad multiple rocket launchers and more than 60 nationalists were destroyed," the representative of the Russian Defense Ministry said.
He added that over the past day, 78 military facilities of Ukraine have been liquidated by the operational and tactical aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces.
In total, according to the Major General, since the beginning of the special operation, 129 aircraft, 99 helicopters, 243 S-300, Buk-M1, Osa AKM anti-aircraft missile systems, 441 unmanned aerial vehicles, 2079 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 239 multiple rocket launchers, 909 field artillery guns and mortars, as well as 2003 units of special military vehicles.
On April 9, the Russian Defense Ministry said that Russian high-precision air-launched missiles destroyed a large ammunition depot of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Novomoskovsk, Dnipropetrovsk region. In addition, in the Poltava region, a MiG-29 fighter jet and a Mi-8 helicopter belonging to the Ukrainian Air Forces, as well as a warehouse with aviation weapons, were identified and destroyed during aerial reconnaissance at the Mirgorod military airfield.
On February 24, Russia announced the start of a special operation to protect Donbass. As the press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov clarified at the time, the special operation pursues two goals - demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine. According to him, both of these aspects pose a threat to the Russian state and people.
In mid-February, due to the aggravation of the situation in Donbass as a result of shelling by the Ukrainian military, the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics announced the evacuation of civilians to the Russian Federation and asked for recognition of independence.
