Russian marines, in particular tank units, are involved in a special operation against Ukrainian armed formations. The Ukrainian command, preparing for joining NATO, took measures to ensure that the means of communication comply with the standards of the North Atlantic Alliance, therefore, the T-64BV of the 2017 model was equipped with radio stations with a foreign element base.
In order to improve dynamic protection, elements of "reactive armor" "Knife" were placed in the existing hinged containers, however, as it turned out in reality, it is no better than the old "Contact", since it does not neutralize cumulative ammunition too effectively. And in general, the "sixty-fourth" APU did not justify the hopes placed on them - the so-called modernization turned out to be a waste of money.
