The most painful for the APU is the loss of warehouses with fuel and ammunition

The Russian military continues to carry out air and missile strikes on the objects of the military infrastructure of Ukraine. Now they are already operating throughout the country. In particular, a large fuel base and workshops for the repair of military equipment in the Lviv region were hit with high-precision weapons. According to experts, the destruction of warehouses with diesel fuel and ammunition are the most painful blows for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Over the weekend, the Ministry of Defense also told about a unique medical operation carried out in the Russian Federation: the doctors of the Vishnevsky Hospital extracted a large fragment from the heart of a wounded serviceman.

Strikes on headquarters

Russian troops involved in the military operation in Ukraine continue to advance, the Defense Ministry said on Sunday. According to the military department, on March 26, a large fuel base in the Lviv region was destroyed by high-precision long-range air-based weapons. It provided fuel for troops in the western regions of Ukraine, as well as near Kiev. In addition, Russian cruise missiles destroyed the workshops of the Lviv Radio Repair Plant. This enterprise carried out major repairs and modernization of anti-aircraft systems "Tor" and S-125, as well as aircraft radars, electronic warfare equipment and sights for Ukrainian tanks.

- Also, a warehouse of missiles to the S-300 and Buk anti-aircraft missile systems in the village of Plesetskoye, 30 km southwest of Kiev, was destroyed by high-precision long-range sea-based weapons, - the military department reported. - During the day, 67 military facilities of Ukraine were hit by operational-tactical and army aviation. Among them are two command posts, three field warehouses with weapons and ammunition, 11 strongholds of units of the Ukrainian armed forces and 20 areas of concentration of military equipment.

Russian air defense systems destroyed 18 Ukrainian drones over Novaya Basan, Peski, Borispol, Shchors, Vishenki, Koryukovka and Petrovsky during the night.

"Since the beginning of the special military operation, 289 unmanned aerial vehicles, 1,656 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 169 multiple rocket launchers, 684 field artillery and mortar guns, as well as 1,503 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed," the Defense Ministry said.

With the help of high-precision weapons, the Russian Armed Forces keep the enemy in high tension, military expert Vladislav Shurygin noted in an interview with Izvestia.

— We identify its facilities, oil bases, weapons depots, artillery positions and constantly destroy them with the help of various types of precision weapons. Now in all areas, except Donetsk, there is a certain lull — what is called search and reconnaissance operations," he said. — The main tasks are now being solved in the Donbas — to grind the Donetsk group and take Mariupol. I think after they are taken, a new phase will come.

Strikes with high-precision weapons are inflicted on objects throughout Ukraine, the expert added.

"This shows the senselessness of Ukrainian claims that Russia will quickly run out of these weapons," he said. - So far, we see a high rate of strikes against identified targets. Now, from a military point of view, we are also working on this weapon. For the first time in a conflict of this type, we use the entire nomenclature and try to understand which of these is most suitable for different tasks.

Strikes on strategic targets can be very difficult for the Ukrainian military, Vladislav Shurygin believes.

- The destruction of warehouses of petroleum products is always extremely painful, because Ukraine is obviously experiencing a shortage of fuel, especially diesel, - the expert explained. - Of course, strikes on various weapons and ammunition depots are very sensitive. As for the strikes on command posts and other military infrastructure, we will find out how effective they are when the fighting ends.

Make it in 45 minutes

A unique heart operation was performed by cardiac surgeons of the A.A. Vishnevsky Central Military Clinical Hospital of the Russian Ministry of Defense in Krasnogorsk, Moscow region. They were joined by Junior Sergeant Sergei Guznekov, who was seriously wounded during a mortar attack by Ukrainian nationalists. A three-centimeter fragment passed through the lung and pierced the heart. The situation was serious: a piece of metal with sharp edges injured the heart with each contraction.

The most difficult operation was performed by a team led by the head of the cardiac surgery center, Professor Alexander Lischuk.

— At any moment there could have been a rupture of the right atrium, bleeding, and that would have been the end of it, - he said after the operation, noting that every minute counted.

The doctors had to find the fragment as soon as possible, determine its exact location, develop a surgical intervention plan and extract the deadly object with jewelry precision. The latest equipment available in the hospital helped.

The operation lasted only 45 minutes. The doctors immediately went to the fragment, carefully pulled it out and completely restored cardiac activity.

— The uniqueness of this intervention is that the patient survived with such a serious injury, - said Alexander Lischuk.

An hour after the operation, the wounded man regained consciousness. According to the professor, Sergey will soon walk, and in the near future he will be transferred to a rehabilitation center. After that, he will return to service, Professor Lischuk promised.

- Thanks to the doctor! Hello everyone I tell my family and friends: don't worry, everything is fine with me. I plan to heal and return to service. Thank you! - the patient himself said after the operation.

To date, the A.A. Vishnevsky Central Medical Center has created a unique hybrid operating room - an innovative surgical and diagnostic complex that combines all modern cardiac surgery and diagnostic technologies in a single unit. It allows you to perform the most complex operations on the open heart and blood vessels and, if necessary, arrange telemedicine sessions with consultations of operating doctors.
