The Afalina special speedboat is designed to perform special tasks in the field of activity of the National Guard troops of the Russian Federation.
Structurally, the boat is a single-hulled, single-decked vessel with a central location of the wheelhouse, the forward location of the cabin and the aft engine compartment.
As explained by the chief designer of the project Alexander Ballod, the power plant of the vessel consists of two stationary diesel engines with a total capacity of 640 hp and water jet propellers. Open areas of the deck are provided on both sides of the boat for convenient and safe passage from the bow to the stern. Seaworthiness ensures safe operation of boats in a storm up to 4 points without restrictions on the course and speed.
The total displacement of the Bottlenose Dolphin is 7.6 tons, length - 11.2 m, width - 3.5 m, draft - 0.6 m, side height amidships - 1.2 m, overall height - 3.2 m.
The boat is equipped with two stationary diesel engines with a capacity of 320 hp and water jet engines, which allows it to reach a speed of 62 km / h. The autonomy of the boat is a day, the range of fuel reserves is 500 km.
From the bmpd side, we point out that in December 2021, KMZ reported that it launched the Afalina boat built for the Rosgvardiya in the port of Dubrovka (Leningrad Region) on the vrda.and conducted its sea trials. Apparently, this particular sample was now being demonstrated at the exhibition
