The calculations of the Iskander-M OTRK worked out the destruction of the base of the conditional enemy during the exercises
Iskander-M operational and tactical missile systems (OTRK) were used at the exercises of the Central Military District (CVO). The OTRK calculations worked out the destruction of the target at a range of more than 300 kilometers. This is reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the Central Military District.
Practical actions were worked out at the Totsky training ground. According to the plan of the exercises, the personnel marched to the specified area and deployed the OTRK. After that, the calculations performed conditional launches on the objects of a conditional enemy. This allowed the destruction of its infrastructure.
The coordinates of the targets were obtained with the help of Orlan-10 drones. About 40 pieces of equipment and more than 500 military personnel were involved in the exercises.
In February, Izvestia, citing sources in the defense department, reported that a new brigade with the Iskander-M missile defense system would appear in Russia. A new unit will be formed in the Eastern Military District.
