SEVASTOPOL, February 23. /tass/. The Rostov-on-Don submarine of the Black Sea Fleet (Black Sea Fleet) returned to the permanent base of Novorossiysk after completing tasks as part of the forces of the permanent grouping of the Russian Navy in the far sea zone, the press service of the Black Sea Fleet said on Wednesday.
"A solemn ceremony of welcoming the crew took place at the berth of the Novorossiysk Naval Base [NWMB] of the Black Sea Fleet. The sailors were congratulated on their return to their native harbor and the successful completion of their tasks by the command of the Navy and family members of the servicemen," the navy said.
It is clarified that the crew of the submarine, staffed exclusively by contract servicemen, was in the far sea zone for four months, where they performed tasks as part of the permanent joint grouping of the Russian Navy.
State and departmental awards were presented to the personnel and commendations were announced.
The press service added that in the near future the boat will undergo scheduled maintenance, replenish stocks of material assets, after which the crew will begin to perform planned combat training tasks.
