Beijing adheres to international law in the process of space exploration, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
BEIJING, February 21 /TASS/. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China has denied information about the possible fall of a fragment of the Chang'e-5T1 experimental automatic apparatus to the moon. This is stated in a message published on Monday on the website of the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
"According to Chinese surveillance systems, Chang'e-5 safely entered the Earth's atmosphere and completely burned down," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs quotes the statement of the official representative of the department Wang Wenbin. It is noted that "China adheres to international law in the process of space exploration."
As previously reported by The Guardian newspaper, an unidentified object weighing about four tons will collide with the Moon on March 4, 2022. In February of this year, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) announced that this object could be the launch vehicle of the Chang'e-5T1 spacecraft. International media also suggested that this object could be a fragment of the Falcon 9 launch vehicle of the American company SpaceX.
In October 2014, China launched Chang'e-5T1 in order to test the ability of the spacecraft capsule to enter the Earth's atmosphere.
