In Dagestan, at the Adanak training ground, the gunners of the Caspian Flotilla (CFl) practiced conducting fugitive and barrage fire on the infantry of a conditional enemy.
More than 100 servicemen of a separate regiment of the CFL Marines and over 15 units of military equipment took part in the training.
As the head of the press service of the Southern Military District, Colonel Vadim Astafyev, told RG, the fire defeat of targets was conducted from closed positions at a distance of 1.5 to 10 kilometers. The firing was carried out by calculations of 120-mm mortar complexes "Sani" and 122-mm guns D-30.
The intensity and accuracy of hitting targets showed that in a real battle, the marines would have destroyed a company of a conditional enemy.
"The gunners not only work out the fire defeat of targets, taking into account the terrain and climatic conditions, but also the adjustment of artillery fire, study the methods of reconnaissance," Vadim Astafyev stressed.
By the way, earlier in the Caspian Sea, the CFL ships practiced an artillery duel, a naval battle and repelled an air raid.
