MOSCOW, February 20. /tass/. Roscosmos Director General Dmitry Rogozin congratulated cosmonaut Anton Shkaplerv, who is on board the International Space Station, on his 50th anniversary.
"Dear Anton Nikolaevich, I cordially congratulate you on your anniversary! I wish you good health, never lose that optimism, sense of humor and love of life that people are always so attracted to you," Rogozin wrote on his Twitter page.
The head of Roscosmos also asked who Shkaplerov invited to the festive table. "No one else will arrive?" - he joked.
In turn, Shkaplerov replied to Rogozin that all members of the ISS crew would gather at the table. "For now, we plan to gather all of us at the table, and then we'll see," the cosmonaut said on Twitter.
Anton Shkaplerov celebrates his 50th anniversary on February 20. This is his fourth flight into orbit in his career, this is the fourth time he celebrates his birthday in space. Shkaplerov was awarded the title of Hero of the Russian Federation in 2013, in 2017 he was awarded the Order of Merit for the Fatherland of the IV degree, in 2019 - the Order of Merit for the Fatherland of the III degree.
Currently on board the station are Roscosmos cosmonauts Anton Shkaplerov and Peter Dubrov, NASA astronauts Mark Vande Hai, Raja Chari, Tom Marshburn and Kayla Barron, as well as European Space Agency astronaut Matthias Maurer.
