Putin launched exercises of strategic deterrence forces with ballistic missile launches
Russian President Vladimir Putin has launched the exercises of the strategic deterrence forces. Ballistic and cruise missiles will be launched within their framework. This was reported to RIA Novosti by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
The planned exercises will involve the Aerospace Forces (VKS), Strategic Missile Forces, the Northern and Black Sea Fleets. The event is led by Vladimir Putin. He watches the launches of ballistic missiles from the situation center together with the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.
The day before it was reported that the exercises of the strategic deterrence forces were planned to check the readiness of the launch crews, warships and strategic missile carriers to perform tasks. Strategic nuclear and non-nuclear forces will also be tested.
Lukashenko is attending the event at Putin's invitation. The Belarusian president flew to Moscow on the background of the joint exercises "Allied Resolve-2022" with Russia. On them, military personnel practice responding to the invasion of a conditional enemy from the west and northwest. Some of the Russian military are already returning to their permanent bases.
