"Exercises and training launches of ballistic missiles are a fairly regular training process, it is preceded by a whole series of notifications to various countries through various channels," he said.
As the Kremlin representative noted, this process is clearly regulated and does not cause anyone any questions or concerns.
"And no one has any questions or concerns, nothing causes, because everyone is notified in advance," Peskov explained.
The planned exercises of the strategic deterrence forces will be held under the leadership of Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 19.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, ballistic and cruise missiles will be launched during the exercise. The forces and means of the Aerospace Forces, the Southern Military District, the Strategic Missile Forces, the Northern and Black Sea Fleets are involved in the exercise.
In January-February, a series of naval exercises is held in all areas of responsibility of the fleets under the general leadership of the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy, Admiral Nikolai Evmenov.
In total, it is planned to involve more than 140 warships and support vessels, more than 60 aircraft, 1 thousand units of military equipment, about 10 thousand military personnel.
The exercises will cover the waters of the seas adjacent to the Russian territory and operationally important zones of the World Ocean.
Earlier in the day, the flagship of the Black Sea Fleet, the Guards missile cruiser Moskva, performed artillery firing in the Black Sea as part of the exercises of the naval forces.
