VLADIVOSTOK, Feb 18 - RIA Novosti. Pilots of MiG-31 high-altitude interceptors and Su-30SM fighters during day and night flights in Primorye discovered and hit air targets and evaded a retaliatory strike, the press service of the Eastern Military District (VVO) reports.
"In Primorsky Krai, the pilots of the fighter aviation regiment of the Army of the Air Force and Air Defense of the Air Force performed tactical flight tasks during day and night flights. The crews of the MiG-31 high-altitude interceptors and Su-30SM fighters worked out the tasks of detecting and conditionally hitting air targets both singly and as part of pairs at different distances from each other with further avoidance of a possible retaliatory strike,"the report says.
The crews also worked out the technique of simple and complex piloting, including over the sea with elements of combat maneuvering.
In total, more than 20 sorties have been carried out.
