MOSCOW, Feb 16 - RIA Novosti. The rear units of the Southern Military District (SE) have begun to march to the points of permanent deployment after the end of the exercises in the Crimea, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported on Wednesday.
In the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, a complex of large-scale measures of operational training of troops and forces continues, in which almost all military districts, fleets and airborne forces take part. In particular, the joint Russian-Belarusian exercise "Allied Resolve-2022" continues. It will end on February 20.
"The units of the logistics support unit of the Southern Military District, after completing the combat training activities, began to march on regular equipment to the point of permanent deployment. The personnel of the MTO units of the district took part in planned tactical exercises at the combined-arms ranges of the Crimean Peninsula," the report says.
Part of the route of the automobile column with a total length of over 500 kilometers passes along the section of the Tavrida highway through the Kerch Strait on the Crimean Bridge. On the route of the convoy, the work of the posts of the road commandant service is organized, and the escort of convoys is provided by the crews of the military automobile inspection.
The units of the Southern and Western Military Districts that completed combat training tasks within the framework of the exercises have already begun loading onto rail and road transport and have begun moving to their military garrisons.
