SpaceX company will release a tourist into outer space for the first time
The American company SpaceX, as part of the Polaris program initiated by billionaire Jared Isaacman, will release a tourist into outer space for the first time in the world, it is reported on the project's website.
As part of the program, it is planned to send three tourist crews into space. The first two groups will fly on the Crew Dragon spacecraft, the third - on the reusable Starship transport system.
As part of the first mission, it is planned to launch Crew Dragon into the highest near-Earth orbit that manned spacecraft have ever entered. During its course, it is planned to take a tourist into outer space, as well as testing the Starlink laser communication. The duration of the flight is five days. The mission is scheduled for the current year.
In February, the head of SpaceX, American engineer and businessman Elon Musk predicted that the full operation of the Starship transport space system would allow in a few years to deliver a payload with a total mass of 150 tons to low Earth orbit (LEO) for less than $ 10 million.
