TSAMTO, February 15. In the Krasnodar Territory, an exercise with engineering assault units of the Southern Military District (SE) with the use of the latest IAD-3SH mine clearance kits has started.
In the first days, the units will undergo assault training, study the actions of the assault group during the storming and cleaning of the premises using the latest OVR-3SH mine clearance kits and AK-12 Kalashnikov assault rifles.
The servicemen will work out the tactics of the assault units using the latest demining kits that have recently entered service. The kit is designed to equip assault units of engineering troops performing tasks to ensure combat operations of combined arms units in urbanized terrain.
The OVR-3SH includes equipment of the maximum degree of protection, an assault knife, a multifunctional sapper knife, a bulletproof vest and a set of tools to ensure emergency access to the building.
The kit includes 8 suits of combat protective equipment "Raid-L-Assault". The weight of one suit is 25 kg.
The exercise at the Molkino training ground will last until the end of this week, about 500 servicemen of the engineering military unit of the Southern Military District take part in it, the press service of the district reports.
