Calculations of multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) "Hurricane" and "Grad" conducted firing on artillery targets of a conditional enemy at the Opuk training ground in the Crimea, said the head of the press service of the Southern Military District, Colonel Vadim Astafyev.
"Calculations of multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) "Hurricane" and "Grad" of the Army Corps of the Southern Military District (SE), stationed in the Republic of Crimea, conducted live firing at the interspecific range of Opuk. The shooting was conducted at targets that imitated the artillery of a simulated enemy at a distance of more than 30 km, which ensured safe removal in the event of a retaliatory strike," Astafyev said.
During the live firing, the gunners also hit single and group targets, command posts of the conditional enemy. This had to be done as quickly as possible and with the least amount of ammunition, using single and massive methods of firing.
Guidance and correction of the fire of rocket artillery batteries was carried out with the help of calculations of unmanned aerial vehicles "Orlan-10".
Practical firing of rocket artillery calculations was carried out as part of a planned field exit of missile troops and artillery units of the army corps of the Southern Military District, Astafyev added.
