"Due to the introduction of new technologies and disposal of non-core assets, the process of optimizing the activities of enterprises belonging to the state corporation continues: the expected optimization of the number of the industry for 2019-2021 is 8.8%," he said.
Ovchinnikov stressed that in order to significantly increase salaries in the industry, it is necessary to increase the efficiency of enterprises and the state corporation as a whole. "We have launched a program at many enterprises to reduce costs, reduce labor intensity, which can free up resources to increase salaries. We understand that due to low salaries, every year we will lose highly qualified specialists who will go to the private sector," he explained, stressing that the issue of raising salaries at state corporation enterprises is one of the highest priorities for it.
