"In cooperation with the mortar crews as part of the ROCK, scouts, signalmen and calculations of unmanned aerial vehicles performed their tasks for their intended purpose," the press service of the Southern Military District said. - During the operation, the coordinates of the detected targets were transmitted in real time to the artillery control point from the Orlan-10 unmanned aerial vehicles and the Sagittarius intelligence, control and communication complexes.
It is reported that thanks to the timely information received, the commanders of the mortar units effectively managed the actions of the calculations and promptly corrected the fire strikes.
According to the press service of the Southern Military District, the use of a reconnaissance and firing complex during the fire control of a mortar allowed to reduce the time indicators of fire tasks by three times.
