MOSCOW, Feb 11 - RIA Novosti. Military builders have handed over a multidisciplinary medical center in Tyumen, built in record time, the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation told reporters on Friday.
The two-storey multifunctional medical center was built in less than six months. The area of the new medical institution is about 5 thousand square meters. The hospital is designed for 80 beds, including 12 intensive care units, all wards are equipped with an oxygen supply system.
The center has created conditions for providing highly qualified assistance in the areas of obstetrics-gynecology, pediatrics, radiation and laboratory diagnostics, surgery, urology, endoscopy, neurology and cardiology.
"This facility provides new opportunities for residents of not only the Tyumen Region, but also other regions of the Ural Federal District who come here for medical care. I thank the Military Construction Company of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation for building so many facilities quickly and efficiently during the pandemic, including this hospital," the department quotes the words of the presidential envoy to the Ural Federal District Vladimir Yakushev.
At the first stage, the new hospital will receive patients with COVID-19 – now additional places are needed to treat this particular disease. Later, the new center will switch to the usual mode and will work as a hospital in all medical areas.
