About 10 aircraft took part in the maneuvers

The crews of Su-34 fighter-bombers of the aviation regiment based in the Rostov region conducted flight exercises, during which they worked out the destruction of conditional enemy aircraft in the stratosphere. This was reported on Friday by the press service of the Southern Military District (SE).
"The crews of multifunctional Su-34 fighter-bombers of the aviation regiment of the Southern Military District in the Rostov region conducted air battles with a conditional enemy in the lower stratosphere during a tactical flight exercise. The pilots performed elements of simple and complex aerobatics at an altitude of more than 12 km with the development of elements of gaining air superiority. When gaining supersonic speed, the pilots worked out the interception and destruction of a conditional enemy," the message says.
The crews performed combat training tasks without involving ground-based air defense systems. The pilots practiced maneuvers to escape from the conventional enemy's air defenses at extremely low altitudes. Individual elements were made at a height of about 100 meters.
The flights involved the crews of about 10 Su-34 aircraft. The flights were carried out singly, as well as in pairs and links.
