BRUSSELS, Feb 10 - RIA Novosti. NATO is considering the possibility of deploying combat groups in Romania, Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said.
The head of the bloc also added that today the Ukrainian army is much better prepared than in 2014.
"They (the Ukrainian Defense Forces. - Ed.) better equipped, better prepared, better managed," he said.
According to Stoltenberg, "the United Kingdom and other members of the alliance support the Ukrainian defense forces so that they can defend themselves, this is the right of every nation."
In recent months, the West has accused Moscow of preparing an "invasion" of Ukraine and is strengthening its presence in Eastern Europe.
Russia rejects all claims, emphasizing that they are moving troops within their territories, and also remind that they do not participate in the internal Ukrainian conflict and do not violate any agreements, unlike Kiev, which does not comply with the Minsk agreements.
The document provides for constitutional reform, a ceasefire and the withdrawal of heavy weapons from the line of contact.
At the same time, now the Ukrainian authorities have concentrated most of the army on the border with the self-proclaimed DPR and LPR and regularly fire at the militia, including with the use of prohibited equipment transferred by Western countries.
The United States, Great Britain, Canada, France, Poland, Turkey, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Romania, Estonia participate in the supply of weapons totaling billions of dollars. In addition, Western military instructors continue to arrive in Ukraine.
Moscow has repeatedly called for stopping pumping weapons into the region, as this could provoke Kiev to military adventures.
