Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko held a videoconference – the first meeting of the Commission on Scientific and Technological Development in 2022; the composition of the presidium of the commission was approved at the meeting, the government website reported on Tuesday.
Recall that the commission was created by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
For the first time, it consolidated all federal budget expenditures on research and development from 34 sectoral state programs. The annual amount of funding for the program was about 1.2 trillion rubles.
The Commission will coordinate the work of federal authorities, the Academy of Sciences, state corporations, regions, scientific organizations and development institutes to achieve the main goal – cooperation between science and business, reducing the path from idea to its implementation and ensuring the socio-economic development of the country as a whole.
The presidium of the commission (Chairman – Chernyshenko) included Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov, Minister of Transport Vitaly Saveliev, Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov, Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko, Head of the FMBA of Russia Veronika Skvortsova, Head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova, Head of the Presidential Office for Scientific and Educational Policy Inna Bilenkina, Special Presidential Representative for Digital and Technological Development Dmitry Peskov, President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Sergeev, Deputy Minister of Finance Mikhail Kotyukov, Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media Maxim Parshin, First Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Vasily Osmakov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Maxim Uvaydov, Director General of the Russian Science Foundation Alexander Khlunov, President, Chairman of the Management Board of Sberbank of Russia German Gref, Governor of the Moscow Region Andrey Vorobyov, Governor of the Novosibirsk Region Andrey Travnikov, Rector of the National Research Tomsk State University Eduard Galazhinsky, as well as representatives of the state Corporation Rosatom and the National Research Center Kurchatov Institute.
